Step 1, buy this,
http://forums.corner-carvers.com/showthread.php?t=27421

If you fail at Step 1, you can always build your own, like this,

I finally got the car back, it isn't painted yet, cage builder wanted it unpainted, no big deal. When the body shop paints the car they are going to paint the cage as well. Here's the car back in primer,

Remember Before,

And after,
[Image: IMG_9168.jpg]

Today, I started by gutting the door,

In retrospeck, I wish I had left the round bar in place. The door doens't quite line up now at the bottom and is VERY flemsey, but whats done is done.

Here's as far as I had got with the interior before taking it to the body shop,

I hate this stuff.

This is as far as I got with the dash and heater core, it is being quite a bitch.

Tomorrow will be the passenger door and I hope the heater core.

iPod junkies - need to transfer music
Posted by: John - 01-14-2006, 01:03 AM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (4)

I know that Apple has tried to eliminate the transfer of music between sources, but I lost my hard drive on one of my laptops, and the only remaining source of the files is on my iPod. Can anybody recommend good ripping software to D/L the songs I have on my iPod on to my reformatted hard-drive? Thanks.

The all around most magnificient car made in the last decade

Marcos TSO GT2

Its fast, handles well, and has character.
420 HP LS2 out of the C6 Corvette
Its also the most beautiful car made in recent memory. And just listen to the damn thing. 11/10 on the rolling pornography scale.

Top Gear review (I implore you to watch this):

(if you don't wanna download it or get an account, hit me up at stubbs3k for the vid)

In the video it has the 6 spoke wheels that look 100x better

...in my humble opinion. :o

Better to learn a 5-speed w/ or w/o "short throw"?
Posted by: Jeff - 01-13-2006, 11:48 AM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (9)

So Sylvia is likely getting a new car in a week or so. She said she will be posting a thread (gasp!) on it if and when she gets it. Basically a 2001 PT Cruiser touring edition. Nice little car. It will also be her first 5-speed. I want to get her some goodies to go along with it if she gets it. I was thinking about Mopar's HURST short-throw. Is it harder/worse to learn on a ST shifter or is it all the same? Nick is gonna help me install a clutch stop on it for her (lord know it will help out quite a bit). I just wanna get her a little something for it and that was one of the few non-turbo parts for it. The alternative is the bling bling colorized floormats and the cargo tray. lol

**So, our shop got hit** UPDATE!
Posted by: Jeff - 01-13-2006, 10:50 AM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (62)

Well, it happens to every business owner at some point. And for us make this number 5 or 6. Wed. night sometime between 9PM and 7AM the next morning my family's dealership got jacked up. 4 doors were destroyed, 2 cash registers (what morons) all the filing cabinets, and two desks. They got away with only $790 in cash....and....a 2006 Dodge Charger "Daytona." lol. The dumb bastards took the BRIGHT ORANGE Charger. They outfitted it with a plate from a customer's car in for work and jacked my grandfather's screwdriver...we assume to install the plate. They abandoned their car at a church up the road. It was stolen from a dealership in PA a few weeks ago and now has 8000 miles on it.

The logic of the whole thing makes me laugh. They broke in... took almost nothing... and picked the MOST conspicuous car we have to run away in  . The money they took won't get them very far... the car had no gas in it and it has the HEMI V8. "Billy, now you best be saving your money for gas or you won't get to go out pillaging with your friends!" Freakin' morons. :x
