  Mini Cooper S

My wife said it was time for me to get a newer daily driver right about the time this came up for sale:

It does everything I need it to do, I know it's history, plus my girls fit in the back. At this point I do not have any plans for tracking it, but that is subject to change. Right now I am going to swap the wheels and fit a couple cosmetic issues and I have been looking over the oem JCW packages to add to the car.
Factory options:
Multi-function steering wheel with radio controls + cruise
Center arm rest
Limited slip differential
Cloth seats

Other stuff:
Factory iPod adapter (plays through the car sound system and radio controls)
Milltek polished stainless cat back exhaust
K&N flat panel air filter
MSD coil pack and Magnecor wires
Koni yellow SA shocks front and DA shocks rear

2011 GRM UTCC - My Entry
Posted by: D_Eclipse9916 - 04-26-2011, 01:20 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (5)

Every year Grassroots Motorsports Magazine holds the GRM Ultimate Track Car Challenge. This is a Time Trial type event with cars from all over the country. Classes have yet to be announced (hoping im not in unlimited or something stupid like that), but I am looking forward to this event. It is *almost* (they have always done it) gauranteed magazine coverage in Grassroots Motorsports with a small blurb and spot for sponsors.

The process must be posting your car on cardomain and they pick cars off of that to invite to the UTCC Challenge. I am not sure how they do this process but I imagine it has something to do with your "rating" and how many hits. So I beg, urge and request that you rate me well, and if you have extra time even post a comment (so it looks like people care?) Thanks for your help in advance, and if I get in ill be giving special attention to MM!

I know this is a long shot, but there are a couple of shops and ex-DSMers on here.

WTB: NB TOP HATS, NA YELLOWS/BILSTEINS
Posted by: andrew_j - 04-26-2011, 11:05 AM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (16)

Sorry for the all caps title, but I need NB top hats and either koni yellows or bilsteins for my miata. I can get yellows brand new for $526.40 shipped, but I would rather go cheaper used parts and stick with the theme of my miata which is cheap as hell but still functional and reliable. If not $526 isn't that bad........

Text me if you want 7578135224 or post up here.

  E46 - RESURRECTED!
Posted by: gradystreet - 04-25-2011, 10:13 PM - Forum: Introductions - Replies (7)

Hey guys --

So meet Hans - my latest project - an E46 that I bought from a coworker for a thousand bucks that needed an engine. Two months later Hans is nearly finished. He still needs a few things but is really itching for some pavement. :-)

The mechanic that did the engine work for me said "An E46 should never be sentenced to death! We can make him live again!"

Anyway, you can't miss the tag. Be on the lookout for Hans in Harrisonburg.

Cheers

Here is Hans!

In memorium decal as a requirement?
Posted by: Apoc - 04-25-2011, 03:25 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (9)

The son of a long time driver and past regional director for 944 Cup was killed in a motorcycle accident last week. A decal to honor his memory has been designed and will be made available to the drivers. Certain powers that be want to make the decal a requirement for all drivers. What are your thoughts on such a requirement? Is it a nice gesture to require it or bad form to make something like this mandatory?

Summit Point Shenandoah May 14th/15th Trackdaze
Posted by: D_Eclipse9916 - 04-25-2011, 12:48 PM - Forum: Events - Replies (4)

Trackdaze is returning to summit Point on their Shenandoah course May 14th/15th. Trackdaze is lead by a few people including Jon Felton and they have at least 2 hours of track time PER day. You also get a free cool t-shirt  .

I will be instructing and running there and would love for a few people to join. I love the Shenandoah course as it is incredibly technical and there are so many corners there that are just straight epic including the bowl. Whats reallly REALLLLYYY cool is that during Trackdaze at Shenandoah, we are sometimes allowed to use the massive skidpad that they wet down and provides plenty of entertainment.

As for spectators, your more than welcome to come on out. Ill have plenty of seating and canopy, and im sure we can get stuff together for a lunch and of course rides in cars.

Free - Jeep TJ Soft top w/ half door tops
Posted by: Jeff - 04-25-2011, 11:08 AM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (1)

I have a TJ soft top fabric laying in my basement I want to get rid of. Maybe someone on here has a friend with a TJ (97-06 Wrangler) that needs a top? It is just the farbic not the bows and shit. It is a cheap replacment top and is not in the best shape. It is more or less good for a set of windows. If someone knew how to sew it could be put back into use but the gussets that hold the zippers for the back windows need to be redone. Like I said if nothing else it is a set of windows and it is FREE.
