I've given up my dream of owning another Scirocco. So these parts have to go! VW people... spread the word to your old schoolers.
Neuspeed Front Upper, Front Lower, and Rear Strut bars. They havent been on a car in 9 years... They came off my 1983 Scirocco (I've long forgotten the lingo) Minor scratches, little rust (mostly on the lower bar), blah blah
$300 for ALL OF THEM + shipping

Just to share/educate, maybe to prevent others from getting caught in a similar situation, but it seems pretty relevant for this bunch:
Title Jumping. Person A sells a car to person B. A signs the title off but leaves it open. B doesn't fill out his info at the time. B fixes the car up, decides he doesn't want it, whatever, sells it to C. C registers it and it appears he bought it from A. No harm done and B didn't have to pay stupid sales tax on it. Sweet!
I've been A, B, and C in various transactions over the years, never had a problem. Never gave it much thought, didn't really know the law on this. But, just so we all know now:
VA § 46.2-628. How certificate of title transferred.
The owner of a motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer registered under this chapter, when transferring or assigning his title or interest thereto, shall fully and correctly endorse the assignment and warranty of title on the certificate of title of the motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer to its purchaser, with a statement of all security interests on it, and shall deliver the certificate to the purchaser or transferee at the time of delivering the motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer. Any owner who willfully fails fully and correctly to endorse the assignment and warranty of title shall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor.
At least this is the relevant law we could find. $500 max fine. I looked into this because a friend of mine got in a sticky situation, as person B, when the car blew up on C, they got pissed, and want to get him in trouble. And really, maybe they all committed a crime here, but he's pretty understandably nervous about it.
The lesson here is, I think, as A or B, you really expose yourself if the buyer turns out to be a dick, or is just an idiot. After looking into it, though I'm a big fan of ignoring and breaking stupid laws, I've decided to avoid this situation in the future now that I know how sour it can turn and how actually illegal it is.
Who else thinks car titles should expire after 10 years or under some certain value? I mean, I can go buy a $2000 TV and sell it, or buy a used one, whatever. But a $2000 car? Oh, the government needs a piece of that and you end up committing crimes while attempting to comply or ignoring all the laws that dictate the transfer. Who even cares about the title on an old car? It's just a hassle. I for one would rather not have this "service" of the government, thank you very much.

To all of you that are graduating today. I won't list you all for fear I would miss one or two of you. Welcome to the real world, please excuse the painful sudden stop of sleeping in because your first morning class isn't until 10 a.m. and afternoon naps because you had to get up early at 8 to take a test.

Two worth noting:
May 14th: World of Outlaws late models
Aug 13th: ARDC midgets. Heres a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVKe_je64ao
Obviously, the midgets are the ones without the wings, but they are similar to sprints if you've ever wanted to see that kind of racing.

| X-Brace or NASCAR Bars? |

So I have a date with Carlos on June 20th to start building the roll cage into the m3. After lots of discussion and calls with multiple cage builders, im still kinda...eh..I dont know. Opinions? Observations?
NASCAR Bar
Pros:
Easy exit and entry (emergency situations and day to day)
Better side impact protection with room between you and cage
Looks cool?
Negatives:
Apparently not as strong "cage" with nascar bars instead of X-brace
More expensive
More weight
X-brace
Pros:
Required rules by a lot of organizations have x-braces, no mention of NASCAR bars
Apparently as a whole the cage is more "stiff" than an X-brace, but Carlos said it was semantics, the difference would be enough hit that youd be done anyway simply because of the forces involved.
Costs less
Negs:
Difficult to get in and out of
Not as pretty? :dunno:

| any other temp / pressure gauges you guys know of? |

I was going to try to replace all my gauges, but it'd be $800+ and that's kind of silly. Koso, Veypor make moto stuff that would "work", but they seem too cheap, and of course would look kind of silly. Before I order this:
![[Image: 98c5_1.JPG?set_id=7]](http://i9.ebayimg.com/04/i/000/eb/25/98c5_1.JPG?set_id=7)
does anyone know of a smaller solution? I "need" reliable water temp, oil pressure. Would like an additional temp or two as well, such as exterior, maybe oil, intake, who knows.
I would think something square, flat, with a little display like this would exist:
![[Image: snipertuning_AFR.jpg]](http://www.hspnnews.com/images/uploads/snipertuning_AFR.jpg)
![[Image: 1ff09a01-7af5-40e0-a42e-5aee6e482d79.jpg]](http://cdnmedia.endeavorsuite.com/images/catalogs/1671/products/display/1ff09a01-7af5-40e0-a42e-5aee6e482d79.jpg)
but I cannot find such a thing that does all I want. Not as easy to read, sure, but with idiot lights for when things get out of range idealy, and I'd be able to put it right in front of the gauges without it getting in the way.
