Anyone want to help?
Posted by: ispoonwithmugen - 01-16-2012, 06:48 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (33)

Alright so I'm a freshman in college. And I really need some help locally. Since I live in my dorm, I obviously have no access to tools or space. So I was hoping someone local could help me and maybe have some other people swing by and help out too. I need the clutch changed out on my 02 wrx, I also want to throw on the stock suspension for the winter, and also put back on the stock brakes. I don't really have any money.. Roughly 30 dollars or so, so maybe I could buy some beers and food? Haha, If anyone would be able to help I would be very grateful. I can not do anything this upcoming weekend (girlfriends birthday) or the weekend of the 3-5 (my birthday). But any other weekend I'm good to go. Just post up on here if you would be down to help/ or could provide housing.
Thanks mm

FS: 18x8" Mille Miglia EVO 5 in 5x100 for friend
Posted by: Mike - 01-14-2012, 09:49 AM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (1)

These wheels come off a former car show winning car! Wowwwowwww! Will forward any correspondence needed.

luckypwc;75219506 Wrote:Mille Miglia EVO 5 Wheels: These wheels are 18x8 with a 5-100mm bolt pattern. Wheels are all in good condition with minimal wear and tear. Two wheels had minimal road rash which have subsequently been professionally repaired (see pics).

Yokohama AVS ES100 Tires: There tires are 225/40R18 and 88W (load and speed rating). The tires themselves are in fair condition with no damage on any of the four. The treads show signs of use; however are still very drivable.

Also Included: In addition to the lug nuts for all four wheels (20 total), I will also include the wheel lock set I purchased when I originally bought them.*Note: These lug nuts ('bolts') and lock bolts were purchased for application on a VW GTI and are 14x1.5. Application on your car MAY require purchase of a different bolt size which can easily be picked up at a local auto parts store.

Asking Price: $600.00 (OBO) for the package. Buyer must be willing to pick-up in the Northern Virginia area.

If you would like additional pictures or have any questions or concerns please message me or reply to this posting. Thanks.

 DC Auto Show, anyone?
Posted by: Jake - 01-10-2012, 10:44 AM - Forum: Events - Replies (10)

I've gone before and it's never as cool as the bigger shows, but it's that time of year and I figured I'd see who was interested.

http://www.washingtonautoshow.com/

Weekend-wise, it's on January 28/29 and February 4/5. Tickets are $12 and we could Metro in, most likely.

Anyone in?

 2012 Detroit Autoshow
Posted by: G.Irish - 01-09-2012, 12:19 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (16)

Didn't get to do Detroit this year, though I was tempted to pay my own way this time just so I could see the new NSX in person. At any rate, looks like there's some cool stuff out there this time around.

So far, gotta say I'm really impressed with the new Ford Fusion. For my money this is now the best looking mid-sized sedan on the market by a country mile:

[Image: 00-2013-ford-fusion-detroit-2012-opt.jpg]

Chevy's got an interesting RWD sport compact concept, but I don't quite know what they're going for. They already have the Camaro as a cheap RWD entry so I don't know where this would slot. The concept has their 150 hp 1.6L turbo, so it wouldn't be any match for the Toyobaru. They've got more powerful FI 4-cylinders but if they gave it a powerplant like the Cobalt SS's then they'd probably step on the Camaro V6's toes. Seems like a me too answer to the BRZ/FR-S.

The greenhouse reminds me of the RX-7. Looks a bit awkward but not terrible.
