  A very WILD NSX rumor
Posted by: G.Irish - 02-28-2005, 07:20 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (14)

So I was cruising the net reading about the increasingly frequent rumors about a turbocharged Honda production engine (namely a 2.2 or 2.4L turbo) when I came across this...

[Image: attachment.php?s=5e5d5db2b28b242d52149e2...3978&stc=1]

Supposedly this is the NSX-R GT. 5 units will be built total. Rumored engine is a turbo 3.2L sporting 500 hp. The chassis is a widebody but not sure if it will be lighter than the regular NSX-R II (28xx lbs). It looks as if Honda is just doing this so they can properly homologate their JGTC car. Want one? Do you have $500k? Um...yeah. For that money this car had better have the cantilever suspension of the JGTC car. Oh, and it should weigh like 2500 lbs.

For the life of me this is shocking but maybe this is a result of having Takeo Fukui at the helm. Maybe the powers that be at Honda have finally decided to start letting it hang out.

More on the story on NSXprime: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47254">http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47254</a><!-- m -->

  Items in car on track
Posted by: Jeff - 02-28-2005, 05:55 PM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (16)

I know you must remove "loose items" from the car on the track. If I am using a lap-top to display EGT and A/F can it be in the car if it is mounted?

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.zeitronix.com/">http://www.zeitronix.com/</a><!-- m --> makes a meter that displays a bunch of values on a laptop or on an optional ($150 extra) LDC panel. I know from the post on gauges on here and some contacts I've had with a 2.2L pro that a reliable A/F and EGT are needed for the mods I am making.

  Afterkarket steering wheels
Posted by: mpg9999 - 02-28-2005, 04:45 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (4)

Im tall. I drive a Sentra. My sentra has a sunroof. I also wear a helmet occasionaly. Because of this, my head likes to push into the roof. I can't sit straight up. My knees also touch the bottom of the steering wheel. I bought some seat rails that will slightly lower my seat, giving me some more head room. Unfornatly, I still have the problem of the steering wheel. It was suggested I get an aftermarket deep dish steering wheel, along with a sparco extension. Sounds good, so what steering wheel should I get? My interior is nice and stock, just the way I like it. Nothing super flashy. I'd like the steering wheel to look as close to stock as possible. Anyone have any suggestions?

  Please God,no school

I checked weather.com and it says 22801 should expect 1-4 inches tonight, and 6-10 inches tomorrow. Can I ask all members to pray for no school, and maybe organize an informal snow drift event tomorrow.

HERMKIV..supra guys be ashamed of him
Posted by: BLAIR - 02-27-2005, 08:19 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (31)

so he came into my appartment all drunk. guess he noticed we were all into cars. started intorducing himself as the "guy with the supra" expecting us to be impressed. we were like oh HER mkiv thats HERS not yours. he got all pissed and was like come talk to me when you all can afford a supra.. while walking out he was like its got 500 hp so shut the f up...

we were like its AUTO, has some ugly chome and gold wheels, some weird white interior and its stock and you dont know what you are talking about. we werent talking shit to him at all.. just stating facts.. then suddenly the car only has 350 hp but he sold his supra with 900 hp and the one before that has 1100hp. and he got this one to build up on his own. one of my freinds from out of town was actually givin him the time of day and he poped his hood. my boy was like dude its stock.. and he was like but hey i got custom interior

he just basically ran his mouth acting like we knew nothing... pretty funny.. thought you all might like to hear about it..

  A newer toy

I bought another kart this weekend. I decided that the Margay required too much work and $ to get out on the track, so I bought this Coyote Enduro at the kart swap meet this weekend. I only need to mount my Engine and change the brake fluid and clutch fluid.

AMA Superbike will be at VIR Aug 26-28 this year. Since its looks like Andrew and I will be the only ones going to Laguna Seca for the Moto GP/Superbike weekend I thought I'd extend the offer in case someone really wanted the opportunity to check out Suuuuuuuupppppeeeerrrbiikeruuuuuuuuu!!!

I'm going to reserve a hotel room in the next few days so hit me up bitches.
