I'd like to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator so my little 318 can be properly tuned and run correctly without an O2 sensor, headers, no cat. Ok, whatever, just something else to play with. I need something not application specific, just an inlet/outlet and a vacuum connection (I guess?). Maybe I don't even need that, it's not like I care much if it runs a little rich at idle. I guess I'd gut my stock FPR that's mounted on the injector rail and run this into that. I see ones out there that are upwards of $300. Screw that. Any ideas on where to get one that won't break/leak right away for less than $100?

Hey ya'll.
I just wanted to introduce myself before randomly posting on your forum. I go to VT and am in CCVT (car clubt Virgina Tech). I live in Stafford. I've only heard great things about your club (unlike those oova's)
CCVT is more drag oriented and you guys seem to be more track oriented...track > drag in my opinion.
Anyway, I'm in Jersey doing an intern and get bored at work so I sure you'll be hearing from me on occasion.
Also, the CCVT bi-annual car show is coming up and ya'll are welcome to come down and enter. I will get the info for ya.

![[Image: bmw-130i-1.JPG]](http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring/news_reports/images/bmw-130i-1.JPG)
Quote:Outputting of 190kW (258hp) and 300Nm of torque, combined with an expected kerb weight of under 1300kg, performance figures of 0-100km/h in 6.2 seconds make for interesting reading, while BMW's de rigueur top speed (limited to 250km/h) is actually pretty quick for a hatchback car, so no complaints about the electronic speed limiting this time.
This thing is shaping up quite nicely. The 120i weighs about 2772 so the 130i shouldn't weigh a whole lot more. On price I'm betting it will be somewhere between $27k and $33k. Maybe the 4-cylinder could come in at under $27k but this is BMW we're talking about so I wouldn't hold my breadth.
This is a cool little concept. Can you imagine the possibilities with b00st or one of the more powerful BMW engines (E46 M3, 540i power)? Who knows, maybe an LS1 would fit in there...
I hope this car can finally show what BMW is capable of with a light platform. They haven't had a light car since the E30.[/url]

So finally got motivated to start working on my new project, purchased from a friend on honda-tech.
First the basics - 92 CX, 80k miles, 1 owner - still a baby..
And I wanted to document the money I spend on the car/and have a pictorial of it, thought some peeps on MM might appreciate it. (and John whores the Z out too )
And why I am building this car, well some might know my old red, ugly hatch got totalled by that stupid GA driver. So found this, and scooped it up. (sold my 5-lug + wheels for what the car was worth)
This weekend I plan on..
- black dash installed
- airbag block off fabrication
- OMP steering wheel + momo hub install
- ITR rear sway + Beaks reinforment install
thats all for now folks!

I'm tutoring these two brothers who are really into cars. So as a treat, I'd like to show them some race car clips of MM cars and be like, "Yo this is my car gang, yo." So if you got them, send them to Andy003le@yahoo.com or maybe burn a cd, and I'll grab them up at the next meeting. Thanks.

These are fun threads to see how folks are doing with regard to fixing/modding their cars in preparation for the track. So here's my to-do list for RA:
For the Z:
- Install roll bar, seats, harnesses (already have everything but the seat sliders and mounts)
- Remove HICAS pump, lines
- Sort out the brakes - I'm on the fence as far as ditching the whole VR-4 setup and just using the Carbotech pads with the stock rotors until I'm damn sure thats a limiting factor. Or maybe just getting some uber-bling rotors and using the Mitsu's that I just bought for my street pads...
- Another compression test (to see if anything changed since VIR)
- Leakdown test
- Check for any more boost/vacuum leaks
- Replace both exhaust cam valve cover gaskets with RTV per the FSM
- Probably try to clean up the plenum some more
- See if EGR is clogged - block it off if it's bad
- Test pipes (or get my mid-pipes welded shut)
- Gut pre-cats
- Replace busted front upper control arms (and tension rods) with SPL goodies
- Another alignment
For the Lightning:
- New tires (on order, should be mounted this week)
- Alignment
- AC delete bracket and pulley *or* new AC compressor, clutch, accumulator, expansion valve
- Check brake pads/shoes
- Check rear axle seals, rebuild if necessary
- Help neighbor fix trailer brakes
- Electric brake controller

Here comes the 3rd gen Miata!
![[Image: 101860]](http://www.autoweek.com/images/news/101860)
Autoweek story
It will be powered by a 160 hp 2.0L and will come with a 6 spd manual or automatic transmission. Supposedly it is significantly stiffer but has only gained 22 lbs (still a lot heavier than it should be imo). Its official unveiling will be at the Geneva Auto Show next month.
Porsche will be releasing a new sports car called the Cayman S. It is a midengined 2-seater that will fit between the Boxster and 911 Carrera
