  Any Guitar players?
Posted by: HAULN-SS - 06-16-2005, 07:58 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (14)

Just wondering if any of you guys play guitar?
I have a Martin D16 GTE and a Jackson Professional..I also have a Line 6 AX2/212 100watt amp. It's pretty sweet, but I need to take it somewhere for service, and am trying to find out if there are any shops around that would work on a guitar amp? I have a new chip to go in it, has a new bios/soundbank on it, and I think the power amp is about to go for one of the speakers. TIA

  Quick, dinner!

July 24th, 2nd Annual "Burn it down!" Cookout
Posted by: JohnC - 06-16-2005, 01:48 PM - Forum: Events - Replies (93)

Where? Our house (Directions)

When? Sunday, July 24th, 1:00pm till the house burns down or everyone dies of alcohol poisoning. No weak-ass excuses about having to "work" the next day, you're all grown-ups (except Mike) and can handle a little drinky-drinky. If you can autocross on a Sunday, you can party on a Sunday. This day allows more of our friends to come out, and also gives us an extra day to prepare (good considering I've got to build a trellis to shade the back porch).

There will be lots to do:
Formula One, German GP @ 1:00pm on CBS (I'll Tivo this so we can watch it later on)
MotoGP, British GP @ 6:00pm on Speed
PS2/GT4
Gamecube
Volleyball
Dorifto battle stage (dirtbikes vs. Evan's mom + Volvo sticker)

And we'll provide:
Beer/Sodas
Burgers
Buns
Potato Salad
Plates/Cups/Napkins/Utensils/etc

What do folks need to bring?
Anything else to grill
Other munchies (chips, pretzels, etc)
Desserts
A few bucks for the beer would be nice too, but not required Smile My paypal address is "john@jtan.com" if you want to do it that way...

And, as always, people are more than welcome to crash here Sunday night if you want. Let us know ahead of time if you're planning to stay the night so that we can plan for breakfast on Monday morning if need be.

Who's gonna be there, and what are they bringing?
John, Jess, Gerald, RJ, Maeng, Jay, Feersty, Blair, Kaan, Adam, Keith, Mike F., Aaron, Rex, Julie, Dave, Matt, Pete, Allison (?), Mike C, Jessica (?), Andrew, Kristen S., and hopefully many more...

I just suck at cars.

Fucking hondas. Had the timing belt done in just over an hour except uh... the cam timing was all fucked up *waits for mike to chime in about how I suck at timing belts*

Wouldnt even start. I was checking everything... the new cap/rotor/wires, the main relay, fuel, etc... well you need fuel, spark, and squish(face) to start an engine, right? Well I figured out I had fuel and I had spark. So I didnt have compression... sure enough, it blew 50psi on the gauge. Motherfucker. The cams were timed up, but the crank got thrown way off when I tensioned it. So, everything back apart, belt back on the way it should be in about 40 minutes and its fired up.

*waits for chan and chad to post about how 'real cars' dont have timing belts* Wink

So at least its done... new belt, tensioner/bolt/spring, water pump, fuel filter, distributor cap/rotor, plug wires and my sparco steering wheel Smile Big  to chris for coming over and helping me out!
