my parents have told me that my x-mas present is a new set of tires for the A4. It was a surprise to me, so i hadn't already done any research and I want to have a decision made soon so i can go ahead and order them. i got the car with Michelin MXV4's, which are great for highway driving and a quiet ride....but other than that i don't like them at all. i need something more performance oriented.

i'd love to slap the newest Advan or G-force tire on my car, but realistically it needs to have the following criteria:

- all season
- decent wear characteristics. i know alot of it is how i drive but i NEED to be able to expect at least 20k miles out of these tires.
- good rain performance
- decent price (~ 120 per tire, or less)
- ability to handle some rough treatment (auto-x) from time to time and not chunk apart

what do you guys recommend? i know a few of you are happy with the BFG Traction T/A's. also heard great things about the P-Zero Nero.

Rule #1. Buy someone else's racecar. However, if you are too dumb to ignore rule #1.... this shit sucks. I'm picking up some dry ice tomorrow, because at this rate it will take 12-14 hrs to pull up all the sound deadening.

I want to get a bike this summer but am concerned that it is going to be difficult to bring to school with me next year. I was just wondering where you guys park your bikes on campus. As of now i dunno whether i am going to live on or off campus, but to get to my point......i am concerned that if i live on campus that i a not going to have a good place to park without being worried about someone messing with my bike and so on. thanks, Lee

In the parking lot at work yesterday I was in my trunk grabbing some shit and realize someone must have hit my rear taillight with something, but it doesn't appear to be a car. Cracked in half, and kind of a bitch to find used. Joy.

THEN I get home after one of the most bizarre nights ever and find my car has been egged. Thank god they didn't get any on the roof...

So I drive my car for the first time in 3 days tonight and I notice that someone ran into my fucking rear bumper. While it's been parked.

I've had the worst luck with this car. I don't even drive the fucking thing and it still gets fucked up.

I'm too pissed to even take pictures. All I know is if it's one of my neighbors or one of their friends I'm going to literally kill them.

What the fuck is wrong with people. I swear to fuck most people couldn't control a car if their life depended on it.
