  Scenic Tour/Flier Drop/Beer Drinking Sat 3/18
Posted by: Ryan T - 03-13-2006, 03:21 PM - Forum: Events - Replies (36)

Weather should be fairly nice, so lets take a scenic drive up to Reddish Knob. We can hang out up there for a bit, snap some pictures of all the cars, enjoy the view then head back down. Once we get back to the burg we'll disperse out to the various apartment complexes and onto campus and put fliers for the car show on all the bling around the burg.

Lets meet at Chaser's at 12:00 on Saturday to drive up the knob. I'm going to get a keg on saturday night here in pheasant run for all you mm folks. We'll get that rolling around 9-10pm and get our drink on.

Who's in?

  High Temp Velcro
Posted by: Evan - 03-13-2006, 02:10 PM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (19)

As anyone who has tried to mount something with velcro inside a car knows, regular velcro adhesive (even the heavy duty stuff) doesnt hold up to heat and it falls right off.
I did some investigating and found some Velcro industrial strength polymer based adhesive that holds full strength to 240 degrees (full release is actually much higher).
The problem is that the smallest lengths I can get this in is 25 yards.
So if you are interested in buying a yard or two let me know. Should only be around $4-$5 for a yard (which is a lot of velcro!)

Good for mounting laptimers, gauges, brake controllers, just about anything. This stuff holds 65lbs per square inch so its super strong

Story,
Guy decided to 'undercoat' his mustang (yea yea, save it) from road salt using chassis greast, and lots of it.

DC SCCA is putting this one on and from my experience, they fill up within the first day ofo registration which is the 19th. I'm going to go just cause it's close and speeding through FedEx is fun.
