  Derecola needs help

Quote:Changed email address tied to user name and after I did, it said my account was temporarily locked pending verification. I never got an email at either address and now when I try to log in it says "You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password."

Easiest thing would be to auto-activate his account.

It's been a while since I've posted on here, but I thought I'd throw this up here to see if there is any interest. It is a 1991 automatic vert with 111,xxx miles. The top, interior and exterior are in excellent condition. I bought this car 2 years ago and through it's entire life it's either been garage kept or kept under a car cover. I just bought another jeep as a DD and with a "real job" on the immediate horizon it's time to make some room for a new play toy. Kbb values it at around $4800. pm me for more pics.

  Mac Nerds...
Posted by: HAULN-SS - 11-04-2008, 03:19 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (26)

So, I was hoping to tinker around with the iPhone SDK, and realized that you have OS X 10.5 installed to be able to use it. Whats the best way for me to get this done? Try to dual boot my PC? Buy a cheap mac? If option 2, I can buy any mac out there that's running OS X and has an intel chipset, and be good to go, right?

I guess preferrably I would want to dual boot, because my PC is already paid for, and I'd just have to buy leopard...has anyone done this succesffully without effing up their PC royally? Would I have any compatability issues with my app if it worked perfect on the iPhone sim that ciomes with the SDK, it should work fine on the phone itself, right?

Quote:Breakfast

* At participating Krispy Kreme locations, receive a free star-shaped doughnut in celebration of Election Day. Customers must present an "I Voted" sticker to receive their free doughnut.
* Need coffee with that doughnut? Head to Starbucks and say "I voted" for a free 12-oz. cup of brewed coffee.
* Not a Starbucks fan? BooksAMillion.com is also offering a free cup of coffee to voters.
* Eat'n Park restaurants in PA, OH, and WV will also serve a free cup of coffee to voters who present their "I Voted" sticker.

Lunch

* At participating Chick-fil-A restaurants, voters with an "I Voted" sticker will get a free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich.
* Taco fans can march over to California Tortilla where they'll get a free taco upon presenting their "I Voted" sticker.

Dinner

* Afraid your candidate might lose? Daily Grill is extending their happy hour prices on drinks and food until closing on November 4. Plus, get a free happy hour appetizer after presenting an "I Voted" sticker or ballot stub.
* After finishing your appetizer, head to Shane's Rib Shack where your sticker will get you a free Vote America Meal, consisting of hand-breaded chicken tenders, fries, and a 20-ounce drink.
* Now that you've had dinner, it's time for dessert. Head to participating Ben & Jerry's from 5pm to 8pm local time for a free scoop of ice cream.
We have half a starbucks and a ben and jerrys for free food up here, I know there's a chick-fil-a in the burg, krispy kreme's are everywhere giving away free donuts, and there's a Shane's rib shack in alexandria that's giving away free "Vote America" meals.

If you know of any other election day specials post them here!

  What's your suggestion?
Posted by: missmotocross3 - 11-04-2008, 12:51 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (1)

Hello everyone!
I was wondering what your guys' suggestions were for places to hold monthly hangouts. I am working on a few local dealerships and other places, but I want to know if you have any requests.
Also, is there anything you would like to see or hear more about in our meetings?
Or any requests or suggestions in general?
Thanks!

Track car- to insure or not??
Posted by: Chris - 11-03-2008, 10:05 PM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (17)

So I'm at a point with the e30 where I rarely drive it on the street. when I do, its basically around my business park and down a street to warm it up and test it out. I also bed in pads on the street... and thats about it.

So what have you guys done with track only cars? Does having insurance help when towing the car if something were to happen? How do you bed in pads at the track? I don't want to waste a session to bed in pads. Do you still just drive the car on the street (short distances) without insurance and take the risk?

I only have liability on the car so I need to check my policy to see about theft related issues.

So when do you decide to not insure a car? I'd like to save on insurance costs.

  I NEED SHIELDED WIRED
Posted by: PDenbigh - 11-03-2008, 11:02 AM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (10)

I need some shielded wire stat! The Megasquirt harness I bought didn't come with enough to run my VR sensor, so I'm looking for about 12' of 20-16ish gauge shielded cable.

Incredibly, it looks like my EDIS stuff might arrive today, so now I'm in a real hurry. Otherwise I'd order it.

I have called a lot of electrical shops in Harrisonburg but they can't help me unless I buy 1000' of it. Preferably, I'd like something that is individually shielded, but I could try to make due with some 1 pair shielded or something.

This type of cable is commonly found on control systems, so if you know anyone that works for Johnson Controls or in the industrial control world, could you ask them for me please? I'll happily buy it from them. I just don't want to pay $12 for wire and $30 for shipping.

Thanks!!

Peter

Subaru WRX struts - shocks, springs, tophats
Posted by: ScottyB - 11-03-2008, 08:52 AM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (6)

selling the stock struts from my RS which are the same as the WRX struts. they are all assembled as a unit and in great shape. came off my car at under 30k miles when i installed STi struts. they've been stored inside since then.

these are great for turning the car back to stock or if you want to hack them up to install Koni inserts.

they are in awesome condition but for MM'ers i'm asking $150, not including shipping.

pics if requested
