  Meeting Tonight ELECTIONS ZOMG
Posted by: Goodspeed - 04-29-2009, 04:02 PM - Forum: Campus Events - Replies (1)

Hey everyone,

Well, as the semester draws to a close, its time for our FINAL meeting of the semester! It will be at 7pm in HHS2208 this Wednesday, the 29th.

We'll all be presenting on the recent activities we've had, and we'll have pizza and drinks there for everyone! We'll talk about possible upcoming events including those over the summer.

Also, and this is important, Elections will be held at this meeting. So, we really encourage all of you to come out so you can ask questions to running candidates and vote! If you're running for a position, be prepared to come up and introduce yourself and your platform for running, and answer a few questions!

It has been an awesome semester, and we hope you'll be there at the final meeting to reminisce and give it a proper send off, and to vote for those you feel will continue the tradition. See you there!

  ELECTIONS VOTING
Posted by: Goodspeed - 04-28-2009, 01:11 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (2)

This is also posted in the Elections forum, but I wanted to post it here in the most trafficked section to make sure EVERYONE sees it!
____________________

Hey everyone,

Just as a reminder, the elections will be this Wednesday, the 29th!

To those running: Be prepared to come up to the front and introduce yourself and your platform for running. Prepare whatever you'd like (usually a short speech), and be able to answer questions presented to you.

Voting:

Alumni: If you would like to vote, PM me your vote by 7pm, this Wednesday, the 29th! My PM box is empty so I'll be able to receive ALL of your votes.

Students: Come to the meeting on the 29th and hear the candidates speak, then fill out a paper ballot that will be given to you and turn them in. Results will be announced at the meeting!

Thanks

Here are a few pics I took at the Hershey swap meet last weekend. The white European model 911 SC in the first few pics is my fatherÔÇÖs new project.

Sorry for the low quality photobucket pics. I will upload the Hi-Rez a bit later.

  Lowering Car
Posted by: Ken - 04-27-2009, 04:12 PM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (26)

Hey guys,

Was thinking about lowering my car, probably after i get a reflash, and found this website selling some lowering springs for $219

http://www.roadracemotorsports.com/store...cts_id=444

My question is, would i need a camber kit? Or what is the best way to lower the car, coilovers? or something else i'm not thinking of? I know very little when it comes to this so forgive the noobness. Also, tires and wheels would be next on the list after lowering.

Thanks for any information you can give me

Free couch , futon chair , TV stand, desk
Posted by: Evan - 04-27-2009, 03:33 PM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (11)

*pics coming later tonight*

Consolidating furniture so I dont need this stuff anymore.

Couch is tan and super comfy. I will miss this couch a lot. I cleaned it a few months ago. Has a couple nicks in the piping and a worn section on a leg.

Futon chair is very solidly built with a maroon cover (just cleaned). Some wear on the arms.

desk is small and cheap but in good shape

tv stand is gray with glass doors in front.

It all goes on the curb wednesday night so pick it up here in falls church before then if you want it.
PM me for address and times. flakers will be hunted down and strung up by their scrotum.

  Dealerships around you closing up
Posted by: Ryan T - 04-25-2009, 10:21 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (31)

Have many of you noticed car dealerships closing down around you due to the economic problems? I've seen a few small places around Harrisonburg (the place by el charro and a few others) close down, but two big ones are closing up at the end of this month. Charlie Obaugh is closing the Pontiac store on South Main at the end of the month. He closed his body shop up there about two months ago and told his staff last week that he's shutting the store. Granted, Charlie never wanted to be in Harrisonburg anyways...and most of the 'burg hates him anyways because of the whole drug scandal, but still.

Got the call from a buddy yesterday that Dick Myers (Owns Dodge in h'burg, and Chevrolet/Pontiac in elkton; his brother owns the Ford store in elkton) is shutting his doors at the Elkton Chevy/Pontiac store on Thursday.

I'm sure Charlie will take most of his used Inventory to the stores he has in Waynesboro and Staunton (Pontiac agreed to buy back his 09 Inventory), but I dunno what Dick Myers is gonna do. Crazy stuff.
