Since Jay has been in the news lately after taking a couple of sick days off from The Tonight Show, that led me to think of this vid: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://videos.streetfire.net/video/TIm-Allen-and-Jay-Leno-a_106514.htm">http://videos.streetfire.net/video/TIm- ... 106514.htm</a><!-- m -->
That is all.

So right now I'm at Assen Circuit in the Netherlands covering WSBK for TOV. It has been pretty much a huge hassle up until now because of some confusion and nonsense with rental cars. To make a long story short when you rent a car over here they want a deposit equal to the amount of the rental, plus they want a deposit for a full tank of gas in case you return the car without it. Then there was a whole bait-and-switch but whatever...
Anyway, here's some of my day 1 coverage: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=829245">http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=829245</a><!-- m -->
My hotel is about an hours from here in Groningen. I've gotta say the city is pretty cool, lots of brick roads, clean, and lots of bars and restaurants. Reminds me of a bigger, cooler Georgetown. It is ridiculous how many people ride bicycles here. One would think that all they do is ride bikes and smoke weed (there are a bunch of "coffee shops" here).
I'm pretty tired from driving all over the damned place but I'll try to post some updates here and there.

Hey everyone,
Well, Wednesday kind of sucked weather wise, but today is too good to pass up the
chance to get together.
So, lets meet up at 5:30pm on top of the Warsaw deck. I think its high time we got
a little photoshoot going, and then we can choose a few nice roads to cruise around
and maybe get some dinner afterwards. If you have any other ideas of what we can
do on a nice day like this be sure to be there and speak up!
See you there,
MM Officers

...where they have to tell you NOT to hit your head on purpose"- the guy next to me in the ER last night.
G-force go karting. a freaking awesome, great time all around.
this past sunday when 20 of us went, i had a blast with everyone!
until my 2nd run and i hit the wall in the back straight nearly head on, at full speed. my kart lifted off the ground and slammed back down, HARD.
i did not black out at all, i kept going, and the referee guy throws up the "Dont hit the wall card" OBVIOUSLY!!!!!javascript:emoticon('') that crap hurts!
i left the event before going back to Justin's house because i was feeling a little dizzy, and nauseous. i drove back to campus fine. monday morning i was really sore in my back and neck and i kept seeing a gray spot where ever i looked. not like when you see a bright light and that purple thing is there whenever you blink, but an actual gray spot. i started having headaches and could NOT remember for the life of me my reading the night before in class.
Tuesday at dhall, i walked over to get some food and started to tip over. i felt like i needed brakes in order for my body to stop moving. any time i moved, i felt like my body had to catch up to me. with every step i took, the world shook a bit and i kept grabbing onto my girlfriend for balance, and anything else that was around me. i was starting to get pretty scared!
we went to the ER and they gave me a CT scan to see if i broke my skull or had any bleeding in the brain. all good there!
they did the "sobriety test" in the room and i could barely keep my balance, its a concussion!!! awesome.
now i have to wait 2 weeks to really do anything. if i suffer another head trauma in that time frame, i will "permanently lose IQ," kind of like a boxer that gets hit in the head too many times. this is my second concussion. bummer!

| Recommend a body shop in Harrisonburg? |

Hey guys, does anybody here recommend a body shop here in Harrisonburg? I just installed my cf hood and realized it does not have windshield washer nozzle holes in it. There is NO WAY I will drill into my hood and I also need some work done on fitment (it is slightly off on one side).
So, is there a shop you recommend? Or hell, even a friend that you know has the touch to do it properly? Any help would be appreciated.
Btw, in case you didn't know, I drive a Scion tC (if that info is needed).

I know this one is last-minute, but the appeal of doing an AutoX this weekend is way too enticing. It's looking like the Benz Club event, scheduled for this Sunday, may not happen.
There's another event at FedEx Field in Landover, MD on Sunday as well. Cost is $35 and pre-registration is open until Wednesday (yes, today-ish Wednesday the 22nd) at MIDNIGHT.
Peter and I are trying to get in touch with the Benz folks first, but if I don't hear anything by 5 PM, I'm registering for FedEx instead.
Schedule for the FedEx event:
Morning Session
7:25 Registration and Tech open
8:00 Course opens via PA Announcement, when it has been completed & approved or 8:00, whichever is later.
8:25 Registration & Course closed. Novice walk begins.
(If you missed the course walk, you're SoL)
8:30 Tech closed
8:40 Mandatory Drivers meeting
8:50 First morning heat workers check-in
9:00 FCO morning
Afternoon Session
10:45 Registration and Tech open
11:45 Registration closes
11:55 Tech closes
12:00 Mandatory drivers meeting at registration tent
NOTE: T-minus timing begins when the last morning car is finished and the course is opened for walking
T-00.50 (12:10pm target) Course opens for walking when the last car is off the course or close of drivers meeting, whichever is later.
T-00.25 (12:35pm target) Novice walk through begins & course closes for walk
T-00.10 (12:50pm target) First afternoon heat workers check-in
T-00.00 (1:00pm target) FCO afternoon session
If you want to register for the FedEx autocross, it's online at DLBracing.com. Click here for the entry list.
Sorry for any confusion between the two events. I would prefer Benz Club because it's closer, but as I said, if they won't confirm/deny by 5 PM, I'll be at FedEx on Sunday. Just wondering if there was any interest from other folks on here.

For those that will be in Harrisonburg this summer, there are two pretty good car shows that are just around the corner:
May 29th - Harrisonburg First Church of the Nazarene is having their first show of the season. Always a good turn out with a variety of cars and trucks to peruse.
June 13th - The Bar-B-Q Ranch's first show of the year, they've been holding it for close to 20 years. This is probably one of the better shows around here. LOTS of old school muscle and hot rods at this one, the newest cars that show up to this event are usually mid 70's vintage. This show runs from 4-9.
also June 13th - Myers Ford in Elkton is holding thier annual car show from 10-2. Myers was the areas only SVT dealer back in the day, as they are a performance oriented dealership from way back. Lots of Mustangs and vintage Fords to take in.
