Miata hardtop
Posted by: Scott - 06-29-2009, 06:51 PM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (9)

I have a red hardtop off of a '90 Miata that if just taking up garage space. Lightest hardtop you can get. No liner or defrost. It is in good condition with no cracks or other issues with the fiberglass. Pictures to come once I clean it up.

$1000

RIP Billy. You yelled at us to buy your shit for years, and even entertained us on the Discovery Channel's "Pitch Men". You'll always be a cult classic icon.

I was about to leave work today when our CIO was like, "Michael Jackson is dead." Confusedhock:

He's been a nutjob for about the last 15 years but it's still weird for me that he's dead. I can remember being a little boy and playing the hell out of Beat It and trying to spin like Michael until I got dizzy and fell down. In his prime there has not been an artist before or since who was a better performer. He truly was the King of Pop. I don't think anyone in my lifetime has made a bigger impact on music than him.

Rest in peace Michael.

is there a cheap version of O2 sensor often used on dynos?
Posted by: BLINGMW - 06-25-2009, 08:51 AM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (3)

What do you call the tailpipe probe they use on dynos to get the AFR? I'd like to put together a little wideband controller and sensor, but it's just not going to be useful unless I can just stick it in the exhaust exit. I guess if a cheap, small version doesn't exist, I was thinking of making something kind of like this with a heated sensor:

http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/diy_ ... _probe.htm

though it appears he completely blocked the exhaust with that thing... so some improvements come to mind. But even better, I'd just rather buy one if it's already out there.

 Need to borrow Truck
Posted by: D_Eclipse9916 - 06-24-2009, 11:52 AM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (10)

So the engine has *basically sold*. Awaiting for payment to clear. So now I need to send the engine out but I have to drop it off. I dont have a truck so I was wondering if I could possibly borrow a truck from someone either next week or the week after. Please let me know, I would really appreciate it, if not itll get interesting to figure out. Thanks!

Also, for the time I borrow the truck, they can borrow the lexus to drive around in.

 Valley 4th Festival
Posted by: A350Zisa - 06-24-2009, 11:49 AM - Forum: Events - Replies (13)

There is this festival in Harrisonburg and Kris, the director of the event, wanted to see if any one of our members (up to 10 cars as stated) would like to show off their vehicles in the event. i told him what kind of cars we have and what we could offer.

if anyone is willing to put their car in the show let me know so i can tell him! i need definite people going though as this is a community event. there is no sign-up sheet or anything, just let me know either on here or at my email: Adam350Zisa@gmail.com

Thanks!

Valley 4th is a festival of activities for folks of all ages for the City of Harrisonburg and surrounding counties.
Attendance is approx. 6,000 throughout a day of activities. noon till 10pm. Starts mild and builds over the day. Most popular activities is the parade at 5pm, then concerts, and fireworks.

We lost a "cruise in" classic car, august event 2 years ago and thought it would be nice to invite them to have a display at the Valley 4th event, on July 4th. They are booked and so we thought to look for other car groups and came across yours.
I do not know what types of cars you have but am thinking of a display of about 10 cars in a lot near the event. Not loud motor cars due to acoustic music, but cool cars to look at and draw the crowds. displayed in the afternoon through early evening. Could choose about 3 to ride in the parade too.

Would love to have you at Valley 4th.
Thanks,

Kris
