All the old fogies know me, but I haven't gotten to meet a lot of the new guys, so here's my spiel...

1st car was a 90 Eclipse with the anemic 1.8L motor (lower than a GS model) and I thought I was the baddest thing ever. Dreams of grandeur included, I shit you not, grafting a turbo AWD drivetrain into the car myself. Mind you, I had no mechanical experience :-).

Fast forward a couple years, working the whole time, and reality has struck. The car is fun transportation, but that's about as far as it goes. Fall semester of my sophomore year at JMU and I get a bug up my ass that it's time for something different and new. I test drive an RSX and WRX but they don't really float my boat, so I decide "I'm gonna get what I always wanted, a Supra". The unfortunate part of this is the timing, considering that TF&F is in full swing and prices are soaring. I spend most of the semester cruising the internet trying to get my foot in the door on a car. No lie, I had committed to memory almost every car publicly available on the internet that was in my price range and called immediately when I saw that a new one had been posted. Fast forward to November and one comes up in Md. and guy says he has three people coming on Friday to check his '93 NA targa out. I made sure I was the first one there and put the deposit down; bought the car and picked it up over winter break, my first RWD experience was a nasty snowstorm on my way home from picking up the car.

Getting that car made my ego bigger, but it also sucked me into the automotive realm. Soon after getting it, I heard about MM and quickly joined up. I was absolutely enthralled by the idea that these guys actually went out to tracks and I was quickly addicted. Time passed, my passion grew, and school kept going. I graduated in '05 with a degree in Finance and finished my Biology degree in '06. I worked at Sheetz most of the time I was at college, as well as attending nearly every NASA event that happened after I joined MM. Tracking the Supra was an absolute blast, but as I pushed the envelope for more speed, I got more afraid of wadding the car up. Built a 91 Supra with a 1JZ motor (what a catastrophe) and then a 91 240sx (which has seen quite a bit of track time and still running strong). Cars have pretty much consumed me at this point, as my current tally is at 16 different cars and I'm only 27.

Getting into specifics about each car would be a challenge, but let's suffice to say that I want to expose myself to as many different cars out there as possible in a quest to experience as many as possible. I'm here because I like the premise that MM was founded on and I've developed some great friendships from this crew. I hope all of our members can have as fulfilling of an experience here as I have.

What's up everyone my name's Jake and I'm a freshmen from the Boston area. I'm really excited that there's a car club here at JMU. Since I'm a freshmen my car's back home as you all know. Anyways, I currently drive an '08 Black Altima Coupe 3.5 V6 CVT. My mods include: Injen short ram intake, Stillen under drive pulley, 3" Ypipe (3rd cat removed), NISMO catback, front and rear sway bar endlinks, rear Stillen sway bar, Eibach springsm, 18" Gram light bronze wheels with Yokohama Y-Rated Sdrives (225/45/18), 30% tint front, 20% tint rear, custom painted grill, and red interior accents. I've always been interested in cars, since I was sixteen I've owned my own auto detailing business where I travel to the clients home to detail their car. In addition to writing a few articles for my school news paper about cars, I also worked at a five dealerships in my local area writing used car reviews. In my 8 months writing, I progressed from two Nissan dealerships to, Subaru, Chevy, and Hyundai. Overall it was a great time and I got sick discounts from Nissan for my car. I've been to numerous auto-crossing events with my brother who also is a huge car buff and mechanical engineer working just outside of Boston. Most of the work done to my car was done at my brother's friends local race shop. Alright, so as a car lover, and as a gift to other car lovers, I must share this with you all. Hella Flush is a great site, if you haven't already seen it, where cars with great wheel fitment get spotlighted. AWESOMELY cambered, super slammed is typically how it goes, but this site is kinda my life. This is what makes me drool over a car. I grew up in the boonies, literally 45 minutes from my high school. That coupled with being so young for my grade, made finally getting my license in January of my junior year the best day of my life. I rolled in a 1995 Saab 900S 5 speed through high school.



Then I graduated, went to community college, and moved out of my parents house at 17. I had a bangalangin job and had savings I had be squirreling away ever since I started working at 13, so I bought an Alpine White 2003 BMW 325i. I loved her. I touched her in dirty places.



In February of last year I got laid off of said bangalangin job, the same week my rent agreement changed for the worse. Helloooooo mom and dad. I worked all through the summer but wasn't liking the way my finances shaped up, so I decided to sell the white car. The plan was to pick up a 89'-91' 325is, throw some good tires and coilovers on it and rock out, investing less than 5k. Instead, I saw the listing for my current car and got a chubby for it, so I bought it and proceeded to dump a couple thousand dollars in it. :dunno:



Its loud, its fast, makes people turn and stare at me, whether they're loving it or hating it, they'ra starin.

I'm technically a junior here, but I don't feel like one. I graduated high school at 17, did community college in three semesters back to back, and now I'm here, taking all major specific classes about to turn 19. I'm a WRTC major and this being my first semester here, I want to jump in with both feet. I'm shooting for The Breeze with Jake, and plan to be around at every MM event.

My name is Adam. I joined MM my freshman year in 2005 and have loved it since. I am currently here at JMU still in grad school pursing an MSA. I grew up working at my family's repair shop/gas station so I have been around cars all my life. I love cars and motorcycles and anything involving either. I'm officially addicted to autocross now thanks to the club and I am looking to get on track once I am out of school and my finances allow it.

Hey guys... heard about MM so figured I'd pop by and check it out.
A little info about myself; my name is Jon Combs and drifting is my life. haha. I'm a sophomore, interested in all kinds of racing... but my roots fall back on sliding sideways so naturally, I'm a 240 guy. I've got my daily driver s13 vert, and my s14 which is undergoing a transplant. The s14 used to be the daily until I threw a rod last semester at a drift event. Once it's back up and running that'll probably be the daily drifter again.
