Get out the planners, tap away furiously at your iPhone/Crackberry/WinMo, and block off some dates! We've come up with a pretty decent schedule for this semester and are hoping to stick to what's written here. New (more specific) threads will be posted as dates of events get closer.
Fall 2009 Schedule
September 1
Student Org Night - 6:30 to 8:30 at UREC turf. If it rains, we'll see you at the Convo Center.
September 4
Welcome Back BBQ at Cabell Spicer's place.
September 12
Possible Skyline Drive cruise
September 20
Autocross with Porsche Club of America - Augusta County Gov't Center in Verona. Confirmed YES to participate!
October 4
Autocross with BRR-SCCA in Verona.
October 9-11
NASA is at VIR. Possible weekend trip, including Responsible Bus 3.0?
Novermber 1
Autocross with BRR-SCCA in Salem, VA.
November 7-8
NASA is at Summit Point. The weekend is HPDE only, no Spec racing or the like. May do a day trip since Winchester is fairly close to JMU.
November 14
The one. The only. G-Force Karting in Richmond.

Figured I'd put a face to the name for those of you who haven't had the misfortune of meeting me. I'm Lee Semmes and I graduated in 2005 from JMU with degrees in Psychology and Interior Design. Wow that seems like a long time ago haha... My brother currently attends JMU although he's never really gotten into MM because he's so busy with club lacrosse there, he's currently the JMU men's club lacrosse president. You may have seen his car around, it's a black Lancer with black 5Zigen FN01RCs with a chrome lip.
Here's me on the far right, my brother Ben is on the far left, my beautiful girlfriend Tonya is sandwiched in the middle.

This is my alter ego, Leenigma, who emerges after about a fifth of Southern Comfort or 10+ vodka sprites. Notice the mischievous look and lack of concern in his eyes for those around him.

I borrowed hand me down cars growing up from my parents so I could get around but bought my first new car when I turned 21, which was a 2004 WRX. I loved Subarus for years, ever since the 22B / GC8 body styles. Took it to Cobb stage 2, then TurboXS stage 4 learning a lot about working on cars really from just hands on experience with the car. My buddy and I did the entire stage 4 install ourselves. It was then that I had the opportunity to pick up a well-built STi on the cheap from someone who was looking to upgrade to a C6 (which ironically, is the direction I want to take now as well haha). Bought that, built it up with an engine that to my knowledge is still only among a handful that exist in the world. 2.8L stroker motor, blah blah built for around 800+hp. Ran out of fuel system and it put down 565/512 on 110 leaded. Unbelievably strong car, a lot of fun but my priorities changed and I decided that I needed to sell it so that I could purchase my first home. Sold it to Travis (MM member) and picked up an IS300. In between then I also had an 02 Tundra and another Toyota pickup for work use at the time.
IS300 was totalled when someone ran a red light and smashed me, so I picked up my current car which is the 07 TL Type S. Been a fantastic car so far, in fact it's one of the few cars that I've really wanted to keep around for more than a year.

I will probably try to pay this off and potentially in a bunch of years pick up a C6 Z06 as a new project car.
That's me, I will be back and forth to JMU before Ben graduates to say hi to some of you guys and try to hit up the block parties and such. Hopefully we can all meet in person someday soon!

I know a bunch of us around HBurg are itching to get out and drive somewhere. We could cruise up and down Port Republic, but I'm thinking somewhere with turns would be more fun.
So. Meet us tomorrow at 1 PM at the Rockingham parking lot for a cruise. 33W is the road of choice.
See you there!

the MISTAKE "RSONPSI"
http://www.mmsports.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2329
Figured I would update this with some more legit info. I graduated form JMU in 08, Bus. Mgmt. Major, Minor in HRD. Joined MM in 04, but hit up a few things in 03, didnt get really involved til 04 though. Was/still am a huge ricer, had a 91 explorer as my first car with an audio system. then got a 96 Talon ESi, thought it was the pimpest thing int he world. Then wrecked it and got the infamour 97 RS Eclipse, formerly know as RSONPSI. Yea i boosted a N/A car, and would highly recommend against it. One infamous day on a 33w cruise it started to go bad. Spun a rod bearing on the way home in 81 one day and it was parted out and sold. Then I picked up the current 99 GSX in fall of 06, thanks to Blair, from a guy of VA Driven in Newport News, who said the car was to nice and he preferred hondas. Became PR in 07 yr, and got more and more involved and made some great friends. Fell in love with autoX, havent done a track day til the GSX is no longer my DD, which will happen soon I hope. Got married and moved into a house in Richmond. Now im a typical old grouchy alumni, willing to hate on anyone and anything on this forum. Hope you guys keep up the good work, and ill be in the burg every now an again.
