My name is Adam Zisa, i joined the club last year because i like things that go vroom and enjoy high speed activities as long as i am in control of the vehicle, or whatever it may be. i started out as a full time skateboarder with the ambition to go professional and never thought i would ever be behind the wheel of a car. skateboarding was my way of life! i used it to get around, meet people, and have fun. then all of a sudden i saw a car magazine next to a skateboarding magazine. all this chrome stuff, shiny things, and things that just looked FAST. my image of the car scene was big rims, low cars, and monster sound systems. i started off my with my first car, a jeep, and put sound systems into it. i wasnt satisfied with the amount of boom until the 3rd set up with crushing bass that could make your hair dance, and blow out the seals on the windows at the same time. i quickly got out of that boom-boom scene and moved on to dreaming about building the ultimate race machine...you know the kind with super wide body kits, monster exhaust, and no real power. its all about looks, homie!

my first inspiration to start modifying cars for speed was seeing my friend at the time, Tom, and his 450 WHP Supra TT. i didnt know crap about it, other than it has 450 ponies and he got out of a ticket after being caught going 155 mph. he was 17 with that kind of power, crazy. My dad bought a red 1986 300zx during this time and it made some gnarly noise, was fast (for my taste) and knew how to tear up the pavement. sweet, i gotta get me one of these! i started out looking for 300zx twin turbo but my parents were not for it by any means. "your first car is NOT going to be a v-6 turbo anything!" is what my parents said, which is and was a great decision. i saw my friends that had fast cars getting hurt, getting into trouble or just being wreckless. so i continued to drive my jeep for a while, still skated, and pumped that bass.

for my 17th birthday, i was very fortunate in getting what i will hold on to for as long as i can: a 2006 350z base model. no traction control (awesome), no sound system added (good), no options. my dad's words were, "i figure if you plan on slapping turbos on it, you probably wont want all that crap getting in the way!" true, very true, if you have ever been in a TT 350z with the traction control ON, its face-hit-the-dash fun. trust me, it happened. the first mods i did to my Z were rims and tires, lowering springs, sway bars, head unit and a monster 3" single exhaust. later once i looked at what is important, i purchased a big brake kit to help slow downnnnn.

as for twin turbos, i was like yo, i dont have $10,000....and a lot of people will say, "oh a TT kit doesnt cost 10 grand mannn, my friend did it for 3 g's..." and where is your friend's car now? blown up motor, cant put more than 6 psi, or is so scared that they will bend a rod that they refuse to push it. no thanks! if i am going to put that much money into my car, i am going to do it RIGHT the first time. so, for power adders, i went a different route. my car is currently being built right now, and i should have it back within the month of september. and NO, i am not going to tell what is done to it. more than 3 people know, and thats too much! so, i had to change it again.

anyway, im into cars, motorcycles, and good food. my position in the club currently is Public Relations. any questions about things and stuff, ask me and ill do my best to answer. im a super serious person, and my least favorite joke is when people say,"stickers add Xamount of HP"

I guess since I made this new forum, I should post my stats.

I'm Jake. MM Pres for the current (2009 - 2010) year, looking forward to some fun tiemz. I joined MM my freshman year and got more involved (way more) sophomore year after I bought my car. I'm a SMAD major and in my free time, I shoot pix for The Breeze and work for Apple Retail.

I drove my parents' 2001 Ford Escape throughout all of high school, and probably drove it in ways a SUV should never be driven. But! I made it out alive and here I am. After getting rides with MM'ers my freshman year, I knew the Escape would be going bye-bye for something more fun. I told my parents I wanted a new car and they said, "Cool, buy one yourself," so I did.

Ironically enough, I'm 6' 1" and ended up with one of the smallest cars on the road. Mah whip is a 1995 Mazda Miata, popular equipment package. Black paint with black interior with black vinyl top, which is an oven in the summer. Yes, I fit with the top up - barely. If I go home and Mom says I look taller, I freak out because I have about an inch of clearance in my car. Past that, it'll be racing seat time if I want to fit.

Le Miata has about 94,000 miles after 15 years. Mod-wise, all I have are Flyin' Miata sway bars - front and rear - a Racing Beat intake, some basic sound system upgrades (i.e. not sucky and old and cassette player) and a supafly aluminium radiator. Oh, and a ballin' JDM Mazda3 shift knob. The mod bug has bitten me, but I'm a poor college student and would rather focus on driver improvement right now...

The current O-Team had our first meeting recently, and one change we decided to make was the addition of this Introductions forum to the boards. The Lounge is kind of the "everything else" area, so we wanted to give new members the chance to check out who's who, what they drive, all that.

So. Just some basic protocol to follow here. Make a post with your name or user name (please not "Hey" or "New here"). In the post, give us your name - last names are cool, but only if you want - and when you graduated or will graduate, plus some deets on your whip(s). A little "about me" info is sweet too.

Pictures are cool, maybe a pic of you and a pic of your car.

This forum is not the place for Haterade so please keep the Mustang, Miata, DSM, and Supra jokes in check.

This is the last BRR event in Verona this season. I hope to see lots of MM'ers out to join us.

-Drive a McLaren F1 (realistically, a NSX-R)

-Thrash anything at Suzuka
-Take a stunt driving course (to go with my stunt cock side job)
-Go to a Ferrari track day and embarrass all comers. Preferably with something plebeian
-Own a turbo busa
-Catch that son of a bitch that stole my Integra
-Punch Bernie Ecclestone in the balls
-Go on a tour of HRC HQ
-Ride a full on Moto GP or World Superbike
-Drive a shifter kart

Well, we all knew there was no way I was going to stay clear of projects forever. I'm surprised I went as long as I did, but its good to be back at it. Here it is as I got it with 151,000 miles.
