Hey All,

I'm Jason Ray. I graduated in 2005 from JMU ISAT. Right now i currently live and work in Northern Virginia outside Tysons Corner on the Falls Church side of town. I fully embrace Madison Motorsports because it (and Scotty B for introducing me) saved me from becoming an uninformed poseur of the ricer bling. While at JMU i drove a '99 Civic Si and thanks to MM i HPDE'd it my senior year. I got involved with auto-x's, karting events, and flagging for events (this is what got me hooked). I then HPDE'd the civic once and the Integra several times making it up to Level 2. I then tried doing trackdays with the motorcycle (first with the '03) and then a couple times this year with the new '08 and i love it. Currently the bicycle-fever hit and has taken most of my passion away from the race track so i spend most of my time and money on the bicycle. We'll see what the next year will bring as my life appears to change quite frequently.

Here's a list of the previous cars i've owned/driven:
1986 Volkswagon Gti (rusted out and recycled... Sad )
1999 Honda Civic Si (sold and then i believe stolen Sad )
1998 Acura Integra (stolen)
1995 Suzuki GS500e (sold)
2003 Honda CBR600RR (crashed/totalled - hit a dog... Sad )
2004 Suzuki SV650s (sold)
2005 Nissan Titan SE (sold)
2008 Honda CBR 600RR (stolen)

...did i mention i have a history of theft and vandalism with my honda/acuras?
here's a thread that lists each incident...:
http://forum.mmsports.org/showthread.php?tid=7888

Currently i have:
2010 VW GTI 2dr

a few pictures of the trusty steeds:
i miss the civic the most - my only regret is deciding to sell her

Hey Everyone, I'm Cabell Spicer this year's current Vice Presidente.

I'm currently a junior and CIS major here at JMU. I officially joined MM last year but was in the club on and off freshman year. I've always had a fascination with cars, motorcycles, and anything with a motor. All through HS I drove a 1992 F150. Learned a lot from working on the truck to save myself money. Thrashed here a little bit here and there in the mud but mainly just drove her for pure transportation.
Had 31x10.5r15 BFGoodrich All Terrains, K&N Air Filter, and custom rattle can painted wheels.

Still consider myself a truck guy just because it fit a lot of what I like to do back home and with my friends. Hunt, fish, shooting, work outside, camp, etc, etc.. Anywho recently inherited a 2002 VW Passat wagon and have been driving, fixing, and modding her ever since.. Currently she's got FK Badgeless Grill, 5000k HID kit, Votex Wagon Spoiler.. For the future and as funds permit I'm looking for a koni/eibach pro kit to drop her, 18" Audi RS4 rims, and possibly chip later on..

I'm very much looking forward to what this year has to offer and meeting the new and old faces of MM

I'm Derek. I don't do much of anything anymore because I seem to be working way too much. Stay at JMU as long as you can. I joined MM in 2004, and make it out to the occasional event, but not as many as I'd like. I have never been on a track that had curves before, but I am going to get there.
I've owned a lot of shit as well:
1969 C10 Chevy pickup
3 on a tree, no powersteering. Otherwise awesome. deemed unsafe by my mother
1995 Geo Metro
High MPG, inherited this from a cousin who used it at JMU
1987 Monte Carlo LS (miss this car actually). T-tops, black paint, drove like a dream.
1994 Chevy Blazer
Went anywhere, just got bored of not having a car to DD.
1986 Monte Carlo SS *
Hit a bear on 66 going 70 mph. This cracked the front cowling, and started me on process of restoring it completely, and building a motor to go in it. Will probably never sell this car.
1971 Monte Carlo SC *
Lies in wait at my parents house. I am going to do something really dumb with this, but I am not sure yet. Going to a mean 16 shootout drag race last year gave me real bad thoughts about putting a cage and some massive big block power in, which would be easy since the car is already stripped.
2006 Subaru Legacy GT
Meh - was fun while it lasted, but I started commuting 100 miles a day and this was going to be too much upkeep.
2008 Chev Malibu *
Doesnt get as good of gas mileage as I had hoped, but has done well for ~60k miles so far.
1997 Jeep Cherokee Country*
Nice to have 4wd again.

As stated DC region of MB club is having their autocross MillBrook High School, next to Summit Point. Registration is open to anyone and is on the day of the event there. It is September 13th I beleive, so the weekend after next. I will be going along with Mike D'Amico. It is half the distance between NOVA and JMU, so maybe we can get some newbies out autocrossing? I will have loaner helmets available nice and clean for those that need them, and a small assortment of tools along with a Camera mount for cars. I figure I cant make it any easier for you guys to come autocross, so get your butts out there.

This is a SMALLLL FIELD!!! So lots of runs and you get out way early, plus your chance to feel superior to the half field of 80's S classes autocrossing

Hi, my name is Dj and im a caraholic. My interest in cars started with a 300ZX TT, of which I went into a dealer to buy, and of which the dealer scared the shit outta my mom to buy a car that had ÔÇ£too much power for that kidÔÇØ. So that dealer effectively ruined my dreams and probably saved my life.

Instead I got directed to a 1999 Mitusbishi Eclipse GS OZ Edition. Black leather, gorgeous, 24k miles but unfortunately automatic. However after bumping into a kid that gave me his Injen Intake, I felt the need to modify the car. Damn him. However, I was ÔÇ£relativelyÔÇØ not rice about it despite having subs in my auto junk. Sway bars, strut bars, tires, and exhaust became its only modifications before I stepped up.

Decided on a 98 Eclipse GSX, manual of course. The car started innocently enough with an exhaust and brakes and progressively went down from there. However, it gave me a decent enough platform to take on Autocross. I Did this through junior year and senior year of high school and the crack pipe hit me hard. I actually found out about Madison Motorsports during a trip to Summit Point for doing a hyperdrive. Julie was working registration and I saw the ÔÇ£madison motorsportsÔÇØ shirt and asked if they were from JMU as I would be attending in the fall. Yes! Sweet.
Continued modding the GSX beyond oblivion going through about 4 turbo setups, 9 wheel/tire combos, 3 suspensions, and millions of other parts. In my sophomore year I tackled an HPDE and fell in love, after 1.5 years of doing it, I blew my car up on the front straight at 10,500 rpms with aftermarket cams and stock retainers. Short story, rebuilt it and was scared of the investment I put in the car, I didnÔÇÖt want to track it again, was just too nervous about the car. So I parted out most the car, and its being returned to stock and that is what I have now.

I bought a beater SC400 and still autocrossed that car and meanwhile debated on an HPDE car. Went from S2000 to Spec3, until I spotted a cherry M3, and went ahead and bought it. My story thus far..

Hi.

So. I never went to JMU. Got accepted, and decided to go to Bridgewater instead. But I was into cars and worked with Dave at Sheetz, and so I naturally started to go to MM Meetings and events anyway. The I graduated, moved to NoVA and I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree at George Mason.

While in MM (a maximum period of 3 years), I owned and drove alot of stuff:
'95 S-10
'91 240SX (coupe, with functional HUD)
'89 Camry
'92 SVX (Was free, but cost me 9 tickets and 1 misdemeanor picking the thing up. Yay!)
'91 Volvo 940SE
'91 Supra (1JZ: Dave's that I traded my 240SX for.)
'94 Geo Metro (Don't laugh, 45mpg was fuckin' awesome.)
'91 Talon TSI AWD. (crank walk)
'87 BMW 325es

Now I drive a 2007 Mazdaspeed3 and a 2000 Ducati Monster 750.

Hey what's up guys. I'm Brandon, I'm a freshmen here at JMU, Justice Studies major. I am very excited to find a club that fits my interest. As you can tell by my name, the car I enjoy driving and modding is a Ford Focus. I had a 2001 Focus in a crazy gold color until I blew the engine(no I wasn't racing lol). Now I drive a 2009 Ford Focus SE Sedan in sterling gray metallic. Currently no mods besides grounded throttle body, and some silverstars in the turn signals. I have a big to do list that I will hopefully jump into over winter break as well as next summer so my car and I will be nice and ready for sophomore year when I can actually bring it up here!

My name is Adam, and I've been into cars for as long as I can remember. Joined MM in 2003 as soon as I got to JMU, and became more involved in the club in my 4 years, there, eventually taking over webmaster duties my senior year. In highschool, my parents gave me a 1997 Taurus GL which I thrashed around for a few years. Surprisingly, I really liked the car - it had cold AC, drove really nice, except it was really, really, really slow. Because I was an idiot, I made sure to race every person on the road in it just to show them how slow it really was. The only race I ever won was against a mid 90's Pontiac Sunfire with a 3-speed auto - a glorious day it was.

After my first year of college, I bought a 1992 SHO which I still have today. I have spent way more time and money working on and tinkering with this car than I care to admit to, although it still makes me laugh every time I floor the gas.

After college I bought a new 2007 VW Rabbit thinking it would make a good DD, only to realize it was the least fuel efficient, most unreliable POS I have ever had the displeasure of owning.

Because 2 cars is never enough, I also picked up another SHO to use as a track car, only to realize SHOs don't make great track cars (although I still think it would have outlaped Mike's Civic around Summit)

Sold the Rabbit and Green SHO about the same time a year later and picked up the following rides:

Track Car - 1990 Eagle Talon TSI AWD:

DD - 2007 Grand Prix GT:

My Happy Family:

After 6+ years of MM I am now much more into track events and driver improvement than big bass or flashy rims. Hope all you new members have as much fun as I did (and still do) with this club.
