Jon and I (BIG thanks to Jon P.) caught wind that Mischief.tv was rolling through H'burg- we communicated with them and had them to the strip tonight. If you haven't heard or seen.....well you clearly missed out.

Had around 20-30 of the current members come out and I'm pretty sure they all had an amazing time..... all I can say is I'm proud to have some great officers and MM is THE premier car club of Virginia!

Since the great forum debacle of 2012 whenever I click links in a post it redirects in the same window. It used to open a second tab. Now I have to right click and say "open in another tab" Is there a setting that got messed up? Been using chrome before and after the forum went down so it shouldn't be that. Any ideas?

On the site ferrarichat.com, in my home region we have an "official sighting thread" where when we see something interesting we post where we saw it and if possible a picture we snapped of it, I thought this would be cool to have for the JMU campus and surrounding area, just my $.02

Hey guys!! Between working hard to see MM grow and meet my expectations, school, and being in two other clubs, volunteering in BBBS, I finally had 2 hours last night to sit and write one of my last write-ups for the previous season.

Been a while since I posted- back to school in VA for last and final year of school, finally getting around to post one of my final pieces of work from August.

Below you will find two Rolls Royce Phantoms- one of which is a Drophead. Both have moderate to heavy defects- mostly on the black 4-door which the client payed well near $2000 to have the RR dealership "detail" it recently. No surprise they left holograms and trails on the hood and rear trunk lid.

Due to time constraints I suggested a hybrid correction- a majority of both Royces would have been corrected with a one stepper to clean up some of the finer marring/ cobwebbing etc. Target correction level was around 50 to 65 percent. Certain areas which are presented below wherein the heavier defects lie were of course compounded and properly finished down.

Correction was performed via my PC DA/ Flex, various pads, foam, microfiber- polishing media was a mix of Sonax, Menzerna, and M105. The clear on both were finicky (no surprise) and the drophead was by far the easiest to correct on- I cannot imagine the amount of time and attention needed to achieve a 90 to near 100% correctional level on the black 4-ddor.

Both of these coaches are MASSIVE, especially the 4 door Phantom. The build quality is exceptional, every interior piece feels perfect to the touch and after having the pleasure of driving both of them, it was no surprise that you truly felt you were in a hand built piece of luxury. I could go on but watching an episode of ultimate factories on the RR would be much more rewarding.

Onto the job- and yes, I know the driveway is unfinished, client is having it paved. Cars were finished, pulled in, covered and left until driveway was finished two weeks later.

Overall the car was just dull and lacking its "beauty" mostly due to the heavy amount of soil all over but after performing a clay decontamination it made a remarkable difference




Two very deep scratches- owner asked me to safely help them as much as possible. If only I had touch up paint and five more days...

Hey guys, with gas being as difficult to get as it is, it's even harder to find any premium gas. From what i gather it's okay to put in regular gas, just do my best to stay out of boost? I keep getting mixed answers on octane boosters whether or not that will help or make it worse. Any advice?

So, I bought this bike off of Rex a little while ago and I've just been too lazy to put up a project thread on here. But, seeing as its too cold to ride, class is cancelled and I'm all out of Skyrimz, I might as well do something I've been meaning to do for awhile.

I took the plunge and finally got into motorcycles, and I've loved every second of it. I bought an '08 GS500f that lacked the majority of the fairings, which is fine since I'm going to streetfighter the bike eventually anyways. The bike had 10,295 miles on it when I bought it, and is now sitting at around 10,700. I still have a ways to go before I hit my goal of 10k of personal riding experience (by which point I plan to find a bike that would be a good track rat) so I'm going to do some modifications to the bike to cut my teeth on motorcycle maintenance, and the black art of engine modifications to a carb'd motor. The bike may not be as fast as 600's or anything, and the suspension may be spongy, but its light, and pretty crafty in the corners. Overall, a pretty good beginner bike, and though I'd rather have a fuel injected system, this will be a good learning experience.

Currently, it's pretty ugly. The only things I'm doing until funds free up are just basic maintenance, tuning, replacing tires and making sure everything is road worthy. I did a full oil change last night, and the thing shifts completely smooth now. I might want to upgrade to a sv650s clutch plate eventually.... but I have others things on my mind first.

Took it for a ride after the change, and I kinda dig the no fairings stuff. I feel like I can see what's in front better, if that makes any sense.

Anyone else have this problem? When I try to type a long post or PM the text box glitches up and down (scroll bar) to the point where I can't read what I am typing. It's kind of hard to explain, but has anyone noticed this? Super annoying.

I have a buyer in contract for the 240, with the stipulation of getting it to pass state inspection. I'm nearly positive they're going to fail it for tires today, so reaching out for some help in advance. There's 3 options that you can help me out, please let me know if anybody can (preferably between Richmond and H-burg...).

1) 10 lug nuts that are very narrow outside diameter and have a M12-1.25 thread. I've got a 17" Drag DR-34 wheel + good tires that will fit on the car, but my lug nuts won't fit into the small holes.

2) a pair of 16" tires that aren't worn down and will fit on a 7.5" wheel.

3) a pair of wheels + tires, 16" or larger, 5x114 lug pattern

Well gents, it looks like Suzuki's car branch has finally bit the bullet in the U.S. market. I guess I can't say I'm surprised, but it is a little sad. There was always a little softspot for their micro suv's' and backwards design language. They never really made good cars, it must be said, but whenever a car manufacturer that's been around for awhile pulls out of the US market, its a sad day. You can argue whatever you want about how suzuki sucks and I'll agree with you, but... still. They mighta been able to turn their shit around...eventually.

Also, am I the only one that thought some of their latest cars actually looked okay? I kinda dug the japanese passatness of the Kizashi. FYI, won't affect motorcycles, but pulling out of the car market in the U.S. (the world's largest) is pretty risky business and could be indicative of larger problems in the parent company. Thoughts? I own a suzuki bike so maybe I care a little bit more then the rest of youse kids.
