Alright, I have enough information together to make a build thread on this crazy order of mine. If nothing else, it'll serve as a spot to chronicle my progression of ordering and ownership, as I don't plan on too many mods for it. Yet. :roll:

I ordered a 2013 Ford Focus ST last Monday, November 12, from Koons Ford in Sterling. Following Rex's advice, I shopped four dealerships against each other and managed to get a pretty good deal on the car. Ended up discovering that a friend of mine, who sells Chrysler/Jeep for Koons, knew the sales manager at Koons Ford. So, he helped get me a deal, and I'm taking the car home for less-than-invoice pricing.

Basic details:

• 2.0L "EcoBoost" I-4 motor, turbocharged

Alright guys, I have been looking to source a good condition hardtop for a while now. I'm reaching out to see if anybody has or knows of somebody with a hardtop that fits my specifications. My primary goal is to find a good condition white hardtop from a '94-'00 miata (Chaste white) that I will NOT need to repaint. Secondary goal would be to find a hardtop on the cheap that I can paint to match. Thanks for your help in this search. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Ok, so while driving a Bronco that gets 11 mpg is fun, I have decided that I can have more fun with all that gas money elsewhere. Basically I am looking for any cheap, reliable car that will be snow-friendly and gets good gas mileage (around 30 highway hopefully).

Budget is flexible, but just for the sake of putting a number out there, I would like to aim for $1,500. I am talking about a real beater here. Looks are not a big concern, as I will probably go crazy and chalkboard paint the thing anyway :thumbup:

I'm listing this super early to see if there is any interest on MM or through friends-of-friends. This is the "ultimate daily-driving machine" - best example of an E36 non-M I've seen in a while. It took me a few months to find one worth DDing and I really do enjoy it still. But, it'll have to go sometime in December I think. I have a brand new, yellow, turbocharged hatchback on order, and once it's a few weeks out from delivery, Green Hell has to be out of the driveway.

History
It's a California car originally. Was leased for the first 3 years in CA, guy turned it in, they sold it CPO to a Navy guy. Navy guy moved from CA to Norfolk, VA and kept it there for a while, then moved up to Vienna, VA. While he was in Vienna, he had the car re-painted at BMW of Fairfax's body shop. The car was originally Schwarz II, and it's now Oxford Green I. My guess is the clearcoat was failing on the black, and instead of just fixing those panels, the guy had it all re-done. The shop did a fantastic job, even got the door jambs and trunk/hood areas. The only spot you can really tell it was black originally is the strut towers.

Navy Guy sold it to a couple up in MD. The wife drove it for six months when she was in-between cars, and they sold it to me.

Clean title, clean AutoCheck. I'm the 4th owner. I have the AutoCheck PDF and the BMW ETK options list that I can email. No rust, and (somehow) no leaks.

Fixes & Mods & Awesome Things
I haven't done a whole bunch of mods on this car, but I fixed a few things that needed attention. In the last 10k miles, the car has had:

• New front struts, rear shocks and mounts (still OEM "sport" spec)
  
• New front control arms and LCA bushings (the lollipops)
  
• New tie rods
  
• A few oil changes (always Rotella 15W-40)
  
• New rear deck speakers (I blew the stock ones playing "Bailamos" on my NOW 3 CD, as loud as it would go. Seriously.)
  
• Performance Friction Z-Rated brake pads with OEM blank rotors up front, stock stuff wasn't up to an HPDE session

• 17" M-Contours with good tires
  
• Kenwood KIV-BT901 head unit with Bluetooth and Aux input -- BT mic for calls is in the drivers' A-pillar, aux cord is behind the cupholders in the center console. I have an iPod cord, but removed it to add Aux (you can have both at the same time) as my iPhone 5 doesn't work with the 30-pin plug.
  
• Infinity BassLink 10" powered subwoofer -- can be removed if you don't want it
  
• DJ Auto glass headlights
  
• DDM Tuning HIDs -- 35W ballasts and 4,500k (I think) bulbs. They're as close to BMW's OEM HID spec as I could get. High beams and fogs are standard halogens
  
• Depo smoked turn signals, side markers, and taillights (these came from Felton's M3)
  
• BMW Keyless Entry & Alarm system

• Very cold air conditioning and hot heat
  
• All four fan speeds function and the HVAC controls light up
  
• Very good leather with no tears or rips
  
• Four working window regulators
  
• A non-saggy headliner
  
• Recent cooling system work (was done when the Maryland-based couple owned the car)
  
• Countless maintenance records going back to 1996
  
• It will do 120 mph on the back straight of VIR with me, Jon, and two VBD Girls in the backseat
  
• I have two keys and two remotes for it

• Right rear door lock actuator seems dead. It won't lock/unlock with the central locking or remote, but works by hand. The door does open just fine
  
• Right rear window tint is starting to peel. It's probably all very old (back two side windows and rear windscreen are tinted a little bit) and could be re-done.
  
• Sunroof headliner is a little saggy. The sunroof works fine though.
  
• Regular headliner has a few little dark spots that you can see if the light catches 'em just right. But, no sags and generally good condition.
  
• Both foglights are cracked but functional. I think Mike D. has a good set, so the car might get clean ones again.
  
• Two paint scratches on the passenger side of the car. One on the side skirt and one on the front pass. door.
  
• One paint chip on the front bumper
  
• Shifter bushings are original, so it's kinda sloppy sometimes. Not "bad" like my E34 was (where you couldn't find 2nd/4th) but a little soft

I have a 2010 Dively Open Trailer for sale. It has performed great but I have decided to upgrade to an enclosed trailer.

The trailer is sitting right now waiting for its new owner, once I have confirmed a dedicated buyer, the trailer will be receiving new wheel bearings and brand new tires before pickup. With the LED lights, breakaway system, 2 5/16 ball, and slide-out lockable ramps. It is basically a brand new trailer. You are saving tons of money over a brand new trailer when this will have brand new consumables on it.

Fits m3s, civics, eclipses, 350zs, corvettes, etc. The great thing is, I can even still open the door on my m3 race car with the car on the trailer!!! No having to remove fenders or worrying about banging a door.
