Anybody keep up with them? They're the site/film team that did that video of the guy who tracked that black 911 RSR and had the amazing garage.
As of this morning, I've caught up with all their videos. Some are better than others, but all are pretty cool and it amazes me that they put out one a week.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.petrolicious.com/videos/">http://www.petrolicious.com/videos/</a><!-- m --> for videos alone.
I now want the following: An RSR (duh), Triumph TR6, Datsun Roadster, and a DeTomaso Mangusta.
That is all.

Alright so I finally put the Subaru up for sale. I'm tired of having something that I'm worried about people hitting, scratching, denting etc. So the question comes for the next car. I'm debating as to what to do. I expect around $10,000 for the Subaru. I'm also purchasing Chris P's E30 in hopes of finishing that up this summer but that doesn't factor into that money from the Subaru. Here are some thoughts on situations:
1) Buy a cheap Civic and put 5,000 in the bank
2) Buy a Suburban, Avalanche, Tahoe or something equivalent
3) Buy a Subaru wagon and pocket the rest of the money
Here is some logic behind them. Number one is obvious, I would have a cheap daily but I wouldn't have anything to tow the E30 with in the future (I have a friend who said I can use his trailer whenever). Number two I would have something huge I could throw in, not care about, and tow with. But then I'm stuck with 10 miles to the gallon. The third option I would have space to throw things in and get decent gas mileage but won't be able to tow anything. I did some math out, and if I got an SUV that gets around 10 mpg then I am going to be costing myself another $1,900 a year in gas (probably more, that's based on if I drive 10,000 miles). With that money I could rent a Uhaul for a weekend to tow something. SO anyway, can you guys give some opinions, other options, and some guidance as to what should come next. The two big factors are being able to fit more stuff than my WRX can and to get "good" gas mileage.

Am I the only one that would be interested in an https site? I tried to go to <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="https://mmsports.org">https://mmsports.org</a><!-- m --> earlier and I get an invalid cert
mmsports.org uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is only valid for the following names:
*.c9.ixwebhosting.com , c9.ixwebhosting.com
Is that our actual webhost?

Audi is now coming out with a RS Q3, and the rumor is that BMW will be dropping a X3 M soon too.
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.autoblog.com/2013/02/20/2014-audi-rs-q3-breaks-out-ahead-of-geneva-reveal/">http://www.autoblog.com/2013/02/20/2014 ... va-reveal/</a><!-- m -->
I used to think these super fast SUV's were stupid but now I've kind of warmed up to the idea. I need a support vehicle of some sort and I don't think I'd be opposed to having something that can tow that is fast. All of these super SUV's are too expensive (X5 M, X6 M, Cayenne) but maybe I'd go with one used. Still, in the back of my mind they're stupid, if I had the parking spaces a better solution would be a big sketchy van to transport bikes, and a proper sports car in the garage.
Thoughts? Would you buy one of these?

The street tire war marches on! I'm selling two sets of Star Specs from my Evo:
1) Well worn but still fast set. Did 23 events on these last year. Still a healthy amount of tread left. The last event I ran on these was October, and I had FTD except for the course designer. People typically get 250-300 fast runs out of these things before they really drop off and these have a lot of juice left. Also great track day or school tires. $150
2) Barely used. I bought these for Solo Nationals last year. I had a mild shave done (6/32") just to help with heat management and take a little squirm away. I only did four events on them: the ProFinale, Solo Nats, the last Autocrossers Inc event of 2012, and the first AI event of 2013 (where they were good for 2nd and 5th in PAX). $871 new from Tire Rack, asking $400.
Here's a shot of the shaved set right after mounting

No pics of the other set handy but I can definitely take some and do some tread depth measurements.
You can PM me on here or email my screen name @ gmail.
Thanks
John
