Inspired by a thread on RoadRace, I was wondering what a bunch of MMers could come up with and maybe figure out a way to make it happen.

 WTB: Netbook

Anyone have a working netbook they might want to sell -- and yes, I'm partial to only netbooks as this is a garage computer + computer for the Hondata that I'd like to just throw in the car and go. Don't want any bulky Dells.

 New Paint Scheme/Livery
Posted by: D_Eclipse9916 - 03-03-2014, 12:49 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (45)

As the season begins to draw near. My car either needs to be painted/vinyled etc. I have been working with various shops and am now working with Raail Performance Coatings.

So now I have to decide on a livery/paint scheme for my car.. I know some of you are very artistic while I remain desperately and utterly hopeless in that department.

A very simple and nice scheme I have considered is this:

White Base Car
Simple wide black stripe down the middle of the car running back to front. This is flanked by skinnier laguna seca blue stripe and a grey stripe on the outside (mirrored on both sides).
So down the middle of the car: (grey stripe)(blue)(black)(blue)(grey)

Then down the side a somewhat interpretive version of the hockey stripe down the sides with the same colors. This would include painting all my wheels llaguna seca blue/grabber blue.

Kind of like this with the addition of the blue:

I am open to any ideas so bring them at me! I would be open to existing liveries as well.

Brey Krause BMW E46 Harness Bar
Posted by: JPolen01 - 03-02-2014, 07:06 PM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (1)

We are moving to a bolt in half cage in the VBD car so this harness bar is no longer of any use. It is used, but in great shape. Only used for 2 seasons. Retails for $700. Asking $400. Here are the specs: http://cdn.nexternal.com/vacmotors/imag ... medium.JPG

WTB: Mazda 3/5/6 16" OEM wheels
Posted by: Maengelito - 02-28-2014, 11:59 AM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (5)

Like the title says, I'm looking for a set of 16" OEM wheels from a Mazda 3/5/6. I'd prefer with tires but I'll take them without. The cheaper the better. I don't know if we have many Mazda 3 owners on here (rherold, anyone else?) but if you run into a set of these somewhere, let me know.

FS: BMW Style 262's w/good tires, center caps + TPMS sensors
Posted by: Jake - 02-28-2014, 11:39 AM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (10)

I purchased a set of pimpy BBS's for my summer wheels, so these are up for sale now. I'm selling a full set of BMW Style 262 wheels, with tires/TPMS sensors/center caps.

These are the wheels that came on the E82/E88 128i Sport package cars. Mine is an '09, I don't really know what years they were offered other than that. They are staggered - front wheels are 17x7" and rear wheels are 17x7.5. One wheel has some very minor curb rash from a previous owner, not noticeable unless you look up close.

Tires are the standard BMW-spec runflats - Bridgestone Potenza RE050A summer tires. They have been replaced as necessary over the prior history of the car (I have records since new, the dealership always took care of it). That said, they are all of varying ages and tread depths so I can't provide much information on how much life is left in the set as a whole. Happy to look up date codes upon request. The tires did pass Virginia state safety inspection in January.

Front tires are 205/50/17 and rear tires are 225/45/17.

The wheels will fit an E36 or E46, as well as the newer cars. I've recently been using them as a street/garage set for my E36 M3 track car and they don't look half bad.

I'm in Northern Virginia (Fairfax) and really, really don't want to deal with shipping these. Happy to find time to meet in the surrounding area.

These do include four (good) center caps and working TPMS sensors (which are expensive new!). Looking for $600 OBO.

 Fender Roller/Rolling
Posted by: rherold9 - 02-27-2014, 12:25 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (89)

Does any have a fender roller? Or knows of a good place to get fenders rolled? Or where I can even rent a fender roller?

It would be nice to be near Harrisonburg but it doesn't have to be. Might be getting new wheels and tires that's why I'm asking Big Grin

 E46 JRZ double-adjustables
Posted by: D_Eclipse9916 - 02-26-2014, 12:33 PM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (1)

Posting for a friend just in case some of the guys with E46 M3s are interested

I just had all four dampers rebuilt by RRT Racing.. Not only were they rebuilt, but they were also dyno'd on the shock dyno to make sure that they're all within spec and operating correctly. Fresh oil, good seals, everything works great.

They are double adjustable JRZ RS, twin-tube shocks. They fit E46 M and non-M cars.

Springs are by Hyperco, rates are 800 up front with a helper spring and 900 in the rear.

Cambers/Castor plates are by Ground Control, same with the spherical rear shock mounts. All top quality, name-brand stuff. Transform the handling of your E46 street or track car!

I am looking for $3,200 but willing to entertain offers! Have receipts to prove fresh rebuild/dyno this past month.
