  Motorcycle ramp
Posted by: HAULN-SS - 03-24-2014, 09:03 PM - Forum: Motorcycles - Replies (3)

Anyone got a motorcycle ramp I can borrow to put the bike in the back of the F250? I think my buddy down roanoke way is going to buy it. If you're down that way, I'll be down there the weekend before I sell it to him anyway, so I could pick it up then. If you're up here just lemme know and we can set something up

Help Momma Hughes get a new car.
Posted by: ispoonwithmugen - 03-18-2014, 07:02 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (48)

Alright so my mom is about to close on her home and wants to "celebrate" with a new(er) car.

Requirements she mentioned:
Leather
Sporty
Be able to drive in snow equivalent to her 2010 TSX.
Under 30k

I'm having trouble thinking of cars that will handle in the snow the same as her car (it's only fwd). I'm not sure how a RWD handles in the snow but from what I've heard it's not good. Does it matter if she has snow tires?

She really like the BRZ and Z4. What else am I missing?

Suggestions: (I'll ask her tomorrow)
Miata
GTI
Focus ST
MSP3
1 series
3 series
S2000
Sky
Boxster
350/70z

  Tie rod replacement
Posted by: HAULN-SS - 03-18-2014, 10:26 AM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (6)

About a month ago I had the malibu in the shop for the wiper motor replacement. The shop claimed that the car needed a tie rod replacement. How do you tell if that is actually the case? I thought it was if you could wobble the wheel when the car was on a jack. I just did the brakes a couple of weeks ago, and I didnt have ANY wobble in either of the front wheels.

Assuming I do need to do this job - how does it go? Any special tools required? Should you do the inner and outer at the same time? Is an alignment pretty much necessary after doing it?

Anyone have any recommendations?

I picked up a nice long crack across the windshield, a week before my inspection was due. :finger:

safelite wants $550..... Im hoping thats not a typical price.

  Delivery Driver's in MM?
Posted by: *insertusernamehere* - 03-12-2014, 03:39 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (22)

Anyone in MM is or was a delivery driver?

I'm gonna need another job for summer and keeping all my options open. I'm hesitant about applying cause I don't know how it'll be on my car and if i even make an amount worth it as a driver. That said, there are two drivers in the burg right now that drive e36 sedan...they look like shit.

So anyone? Big Grin
