So in rolling my fenders, the quarter became bacon and I decided to leave it to prevent further damage (Yes I used the Eastwood tool not a baseball bat!) Its a tiny section, but the metal is so creased I'm afraid it might have to be shaved, and since this car just got painted thats a big NO for DIY'ing it. Looks like this: Also I have a set of side skirts that need something stronger than 3m tape (used the EXTREME bond one), velcro, ect. Essentially to sit flush with the body they need to be bonded on there with some sort of epoxy, again, fresh paint, let someone who does this for a living take care of it. Does anyone know a body shop that would perform these services?

Hey everybody, my name is Simon and I'm a senior. I'm a management major, and I will most likely stay a 5th year to double major in marketing. I'm from Atlantic City, NJ and have been slowly getting more into the car scene over the past couple years. I'm mostly into imports but I can dig anything with wheels. I should have joined a long time ago but oh well, I was really lazy haha. I met some of you at the meet last night. I drive the blacked out 06 RSX (base auto :roll: ) as my daily, and I also have a 92 miata and an 03 s2000 sitting at home.

I picked up the RSX in early 2012 with around 52k miles. Now it has about 75k. Mods worth mentioning so far are projector headlights with halos, fogs, and some motegi racing wheels wrapped in continental dws extremecontact. Also got a JL 10" sub, I replaced the dome light with a blue light thats kind of like a blacklight, replaced the map/license plate/trunk lights with white led lights. I debadged the back emblems with the intention of painting the Acura A black but I got lazy and never put it back on. I also got a boomerang armrest which is really nice to have. Awhile ago I picked up a greddy catback but when I went to put it on I realized that the bolts from the midpipe to the cat are completely rusted solid, and the cat is starting to rust through as well, so I'm gonna get a high flow cat and take the whole thing out as one piece before I put the new stuff on. So yes, I'm running no tailpipe right now :roll: Future plans include a short ram intake, coilovers, and I'm not really sure what else.

Here's a few pictures of the RSX, from what it looked like when I first got it to a more recent picture. Since the last picture, I've taken off the celica spoiler, which the previous owner thought was a good idea :dunno: Also the fog lights are in now too.







That last picture isn't great but I love those headlights. Full projector set up, so far my favorite mod. The difference when driving at night is amazing. Anyway, here are some quick shots of the Miata and s2000.





The miata and s2000 are completely stock for now. Back before I was being realistic I wanted to LS swap the miata, but now I'm thinking I'll get into spec miata racing. I have no idea what I'm gonna do with the s2000 yet, because I just got it in June. Well anyway yeah those are my cars, and I'm looking forward to finally being a part of MM after putting it off for so long.

Good afternoon everybody, my name is Ian and ideally I'd be graduating in 2018. Anyway, I tried to come to last nights meeting but I had a 7 o'clock so I showed up at around 630 waited to see if anybody came really early then left. Regardless my interest in cars is in it's infant stage since I decided to buy my own car. What I drive is a 1996 (same as me) Saab 900 2.0 Turbo Coupe. I bought it for $2,000 on September 3 of last year and right off the bat had to get emissions replaced. The car belonged to a smoker who had been in a fender bender in 1998 in NY and had rarely driven it since. It had 66,343 miles on it. There were rocks on the inside, (still) damaged leather seats, ridiculously bad smelling interior, (still) misaligned steering wheel, pollen almost stuck in the paint, and a broken radio antenna. I'd had a job for two years or so, so I had a substantial amount of money and I figured I could try to 'save' it. Over the year I've had it, the Saab has had a power steering fluid leak, broken visor holder, flooded, upright died, and still has a mystery leak, but I love it. I've fixed many of the problems stated but the leather is still not in great knick and the car does not have a cup holder. The death was caused by the electric ignition right behind the key and thanks to a friend and patience I was able to fix that myself. The second it started the pride I got was incredible. The area I come from (Suburbs of D.C.) it is assumed your parents will buy you an essentially new Jeep or a 1 Series so I got weird looks and almost condescension for buying something as old as me. I really couldn't care less. The car still needs some work including the mystery leak and I need to replace the timing chain since it now has the have the rattle of death. I still love it. Crosswalk Adventures of the First Church of the Nazarene in Hburg puts on a huge car show 2x annually spring and fall this coming Friday Sept. 5th is the fall one and it will likely weather permitting top out at at least 120 or so entries. This car show features muscle cars, american classics, motorcycles, off road, imports, and trucks. Come join us on Saturday, September 6 for the Shenandoah Region PCA's fifth and final autocross of the year at the Augusta County Government Center in Verona!

Registration is open on MotorsportReg.com and ends at 7 PM on Friday, September 5. Our autocrosses are open to Porsches and other brands of cars. Drivers and spectators do not need to be members of the Porsche Club. Loaner helmets and instruction for novice drivers are provided. There is a large open pavilion that provides shelter from sun and rain, and restrooms are available. Events are held rain or shine.

Hey guys, it's coming to be that time of year again. College Solo at Verona on October 19th. This will be our 5th annual auto-x so let's make this a big one and bring home the 1st place cone this year!

Grand opening tomorrow for the new track in Bowling Green, KY. Pretty cool to see this come to life, having the assembly plant, museum and track all in one place. The video is old and not so great, mostly footage from VIR (where NCM hosted their event for years) but has Doug Fehan talking about Corvette Racing's input into the design to have corners and straights mimic some of what they see at LeMans.

Looks like the first real HPDE is Sept 26 (pretty steep at $525, no racing though so maybe a lot of track time??) and some karting and motorcycle stuff scheduled for mid-october.

Hey all,

Up here is a Tesla roadster receiving a correctional and a coating application- aim was as close to 100% as safely possible- lots of defects found on this one. Opti 2.0 was applied and a majority of the panels received a 3-5 step process due to some deep RIDS- especially near the rear quarters and rear deck lid.

Film installed by Tesla was applied to the front bumper, mirrors, rockers, rear quarters, front fenders, and the front hood. The front hood portion was removed to attend to some nasty rotary burn- more pics on that later. The remaining pieces were left applied and corrected appropriately as the area where this Roadster lives is quite mountainous.

The interior was blown out, dusted down with various brushes, leatherique applied and left to dwell over 5 hours. Auto Finesse Hyde was used to follow up and a highly diluted bottle of OPT APC used to hit all the various plastic items.

After removal of the film on both the front fenders and hood portion, the roadster received a decon wash.

Correctional process was a mixture of Rupes Zephir, M105, and Sonax PF. Although the roadster had paint on the softer side, the defects were very deep- requiring some heavy cutting.

The rear decklid had numerous RIDS, among other defect including two areas where D/A hooks were present and a slight area of whool burn.....the after shot







Another heavily damaged area- the plug in cap area- thank you to whomever decided to damage this area!





The hood- removal of the film on this portion and the associated upper areas was necessary- one, the film had yellows slightly, two because there was an apparent sworm of rotary burn underneath the film- not only did this portion of the hood show rough edges that were scuffed away due to a misaligned panel (evidence of it once being in repair) but the work done with the rotary after it being freshly painted seemed to affect the state of the paint itself. Heavy sanding scratches found under intense LED light + D/A hooks made this panel of highest concern.






All of the work was of course wiped with a 90% IPA solution inbetween each step- Opti 2.0 being applied via a CarPro application block/ mf suede patch


All the electrical and battery items located in the front and rear bonnet werre degreased with APC and dressed with 303/ Black Wow, glass cleaned inside and out and the rear diffuser was hand cleaned again and dressed.
