  Snowshoe Hillclimb: Sept. 3-4
Posted by: JohnC - 08-14-2005, 11:31 PM - Forum: Events - Replies (9)

Anyone else gonna drive or work this? I think Jess and I are going to work it again - no better way to spend a weekend than in the beautiful scenery on Showshoe Mountain... I've emailed Jim Pantas about it - will post up here if they need more workers.

  back to the burg: gtg?
Posted by: Myuki - 08-14-2005, 12:14 AM - Forum: Events - Replies (10)

I was tossing up the idea of having a little meet up maybe for dinner and some chilling after we get back in the burg. A fair number of us are heading back in a few weeks, and may like to just get together before everything starts. Just an idea.

Besides cars, what do you spend your money on?

That there is my Ghetto intercooler install...hotness

Performance "mods" as of now (lol)
1- Converted to 2.5L from 2.2
2- Mitsu TE04 turbo, instead of the T3...we will fix that.
3- A555 Transmission
4- Mopar Performance solid motormounts
5- Reinstalled OEM intercooler and BOV from 2.2
6- "Purple Horny" Glasspack muffler

Well, what do you guys think? Not bad for $600 huh?

Political Flame War (Split from Found my Next Truck)

Do you really need to tow 22,000lbs? Do you really need to haul 6 tons? Jesus Christ I think that's the most disgusting thing I've ever seen.

I've got an idea... while we're at it, let's buy a hummer.... YEAH! Those things are fucking sweet! 8mpgs not bad considering how much of a fucking boner these things give me. I can roll over tons of shit... I can roll over people too if those fucks try to get in my way!

Wait! I've got a better idea! Let's get a CXT! As a review of it said 'Because this ain't simply a work truck. It's also designed for the "discriminating" blue-collar redneck with $115,000 to spare.' 'It's 7 miles per gallon of diesel, downhill.' Great fucking idea.

How does america drive the most SUVs in the world? Because we are idiots.
Do we need them? No.
Are there smaller more economical alternatives? Yes.
Do we need to create more of a dangerous road system while destroying the environment post-haste? No.

I'm sorry man, but I think that's completely absurd.

Quote:So then. Let's do it. Let's just get it over with. Let's all get a CXT. I mean, what the hell, right? Let's just give in and stomp around like we own the goddamn place and burn up all the remaining oil as fast as possible, maul the roads and gag the air and wipe out all those silly Priuses and Mini Coopers and all those annoying gnatlike bicycles once and for all.
