I'm trying to clean out some junk in my closet and I have this for sale. At my power levels i have no real need for a K&N and when i eventually go with a big turbo i won't be able to use the stock airbox anyway. plus, i don't have the recharge kit.
so anyway, i'll sell it for 5 bucks and the cost to ship it to you. for MMMembers, i'll sell it for a MM sticker and the cost to ship it to you!
dunno if it fits MKIV jetta/passat 1.8T's but i'll post up the dimensions when i get a sec.

I've done plenty of autocrossing and ridden along on a few tracks throughout the country in hpde's, but I had never been karting. So over winter break I grab some people from ccvt and we went down to G-Force (after hearing so much about it from you guys). We did three races and had a blast. On my third race I was running consistant 25's. Our fastest was stephen, who qualified for super karts on only his second race (He's also a fellow autocrosser, he was my competition in STS before I moved to SM).
So, a few weeks later (today), I'm back in Richmond for my National Guard stuff so me and a buddy that lives here decided to go back. Ran a few races and there was tons of traffic. I hit some 24's but couldnt get 5 of them. There where a decent number of girls running in the 40 second range. Even so, actually racing with other people is sooo much fun. It really makes me want to hurry up and join SE-R cup even sooner. During one lap I saw some congestion ahead, three karts. I knew I was going to catch up to them at that 180 degree hairpin and sure enough I did. I managed to cut through all three of them without any problem and loosing almsot no speed. I had such a huge smile on my face after making it through that mess.
We decided to wait a little while and let the crowd die down and then try to qualify for super karts. Just the two of us went out on the track. I hit three 24's and a bunch of 25.0xx's. I decided to give it one more try (this time there were a few more people with us too). I didnt think I made it, but I turned out 11 sub 25 second lap times with a fastest lap of 24.3 and average lap time of 25.103. Next time I go I'll have to try out the superkarts, although I think I may stick with the regular karts for awhile. I'd like to get down into the 23's.
Anyways, there really isnt much of a point to this story. Just that I'm going to be wasting even more of my money on crap like this. Wonder how long it will take me to build up an se-r cup car ...
And then I found five dollars.

Just did this while I was down there over the past week thanks to some advice on the board here. Just like I anticipated, they didn't care at all exactly where it was I claimed I lived down there. All they want is tax revenue. I gave them an old address and had them ship the bills up to my NoVA address. Who needs emissions anyway?!?
The building is the big grey one on the left right after the Sherwin-Williams paint store on Main St. heading out towards Dave's from campus. $20 bucks and an hour and a half drive is all you need for no more emissions worries!

This subwoofer is brand new. Its been sitting in my closet and taking up space so I've finally decided to get rid of it. It has never been used since the box I had was custom made and didnt give enough room to fit since the sub is deep.
I would like to get $100.00 for the sub since it is brand new and unused!

| FS: Speedmonkee Chimney-style heat shield for 02-05 WRX |

This is a great heatshield for 02-05 (possibly 06?) WRXs. Very well engineered, it's designed to seal up around the air deflector underneath of your hood scoop to vent hot air out the scoop from the turbo / downpipe area while idling and forces cool air over the same area while driving. It won't fit with any aftermarket TMICs and won't fit with the stock STI TMIC (sorry Shea, I checked =/)
The only thing this is missing is the bolt to attach it to the intercooler bracket, but pretty much any bolt / nut combo that fits there will work. The weatherstripping at the top corner of it is coming loose also, I'll secure it before I sell it.
$75 shipped.

P.S. The website says that there are different heat shields for the different year WRXs, but my buddy ran this fine on his 02 WRX before he installed a FMIC.
