I don't know how many of you still play around on this, but the newest patch (T i think) has the BMW Sauber formular car which is pretty much scary fast, significantly scarier than the V8 formula car. I can barely keep the XR GT Turbo on the track so the formula cars are a long way away. anyway just wanted to see if anyone else was still on this sim.

 Selling the e39 540 (6spd)
Posted by: e39540i - 04-24-2006, 03:41 PM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (51)

Heres bits of a generic ad(s) I have put up, let me know if anyone wants this or else its going to bavarian at the end of the week to meet its fate. First $3500 takes it! Damage estimate was right at $8K max for all new bmw oem parts, labor and paint.

my 540 was nailed at intersection as mentioned in my e39 post; the title is clean, no frame damage occured. I have decided to sell for parts and undertake an e30m3 project or turbo 325. The car has been meticulously maintained, recently replaced various parts(valve cover gaskets, repainted valve covers, plugs, axxis pads, ecu eprom upgrade.......). Have matching 5th wheel, car is driveable(minus some wind noise); just received authority ecu upgrade and full custom fabricated exhuast/intake setup. If you have any further questions let me know, I am open to all reasonable offers, I need to sell ASAP. Pictures of damage may be seen at:

http://community.webshots.com/user/e39540i

-I have numerous other parts and maintenance items I can sell with the vehicle (new hubs, ps hoses, oem exhuast parts, fluids, etc); vehicle used syntec 5w30 4.5K intervals, have maintenance records from previous owner, all dealership serviced; redline trans/diff fluids, hella oem euro spec'd lighting package, umnitza dde chromium AE's w/ 8000K bulbs, dinan stage 1 suspension, UUC motowerks short shift and the list goes on). All tasteful, stock appearance, fantastic performer, not the slightest bit of sludge in engine upon taking off valve covers, cleanest pre '00 i have ever seen despite 113K miles, trans in excellent shape although synchro replacement is good idea given mileage, can refer to excellent/affordable resources. The m62 is clean and pulling strong! Interior is immaculate. Check out the pictures other album has various pictures of the vehicle before wreck used for random projects, couple interior shots included. Email me with questions/concerns wynnehl@jmu.edu or call me at 434 546 7491; the sooner the better as i am going to move it fast and bavarian recyclers and other yards are goign to get the heads up.

FS- CD player, subs, amp, wires, eveything you need
Posted by: Jeff - 04-24-2006, 11:35 AM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (13)

Notice- none of these pictures are the actual item.

So, I got a good deal from work and I am looking to pass it on to MM. It is a Bazooka CS series amp and Sub combo: 2 10in mated with a 150watt mono amp (350 peak). I have installed them in a sealed box and pre-wired the box to a 2 ohm load. The hit like crazy shit when hooked up in the thump room, but are clearly designed for the smaller amp. I also have as part of the deal the Tsunami wiring kit needed for this amp (8ga). I will also include my installation services as part of the deal if need be. I would like $250 installed. This would be recommended for people who listen to music with punchy bass... ie Country, Rock, etc. They are 10s so not really good at dealing with the super low frequency sustaining notes of hip-hop.

Best of all they are MM colors!! This whole sha-bang would have cost someone off the street $200 for the combo set + $75 for the wires + $70 for the box + 65 for the install service = $410 before tax. I am open to offers especially if you are gonna install it on your own. These have some scratch and dent action going on and are NOT mint pieces. But they function perfectly and the way I figure, if you buy them dinged up, you don't have to feel bad when you ding them up.

Also,
I have a JVC KDS 5050 CD player - $50 installed + wiring and mounting stuff.

A set of sony 6.5in speakers - $15, Play fine.

Last on the list,
A Boss 70X2 stereo amp. Just a little booster amp. $15 Un-known conditon, will test for buyer. Boss was the shit... 8 years ago. It would be good to power a set of 6X9s

 Sway bar rubbing
Posted by: Andy - 04-24-2006, 11:06 AM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (6)

I was swapping tires and brakes for an AutoX last weekend and I noticed what appears to be the inside of my front right tire rubbing up against my front sway bar and carrying a little of the white paint off my sway onto the inside fender. What do you guys think could be causing this? I want to blame Shenandoah for this, specifically the karussel. Have you guys ever run into this before? IÔÇÖll post up pics tonight.

 The big busts in 757
Posted by: bowskie - 04-24-2006, 01:16 AM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (13)

I was wondering if anyone in the 757 area especially the newport news and chesapeake areas have had any problems with exhaust tickets this past weekend. I've heard from a bunch of my friends from home that the police were out saturday night and pulling over anything with a loud exhaust or modified look muffler. I also had a friend who was pulled for illegal exhaust. I was pretty much wondering if anyone on here thats in the 757 area has had heard of or been pulled over for anything like that. It's weird because its happened all of a sudden, i think most of this is from the 564 sting and its now spreading all through out hampton roads.
