Has anyone here installed clear bra material before? Any tips or tricks, what and where to buy the materials, things of that nature. I'm not looking to buy a pre-cut kit with huge sheets of material, just some smaller pieces (maybe 12"x12"). Thanks guys.

Ok kids, itÔÇÖs that time again; we will be making the trek to G-Force for Karting on Saturday November, 14th. Per our usual protocol everyone will get 2, 15 minute sessions .We are currently signed up for 20 people for an hour, but would love to up that to 40 people for two hours if there is enough interest. Cost will be $30 for current students and $40 for alumni. For now we will have 20 slots for current students and 20 for alumni and as we get closer to the date we will relax those restrictions and open it up to family/friends to fill out 40 if weÔÇÖre close. Please post up if youÔÇÖre interested and I will add you too the list HOWEVER your spot will not be locked in until you pay. This means that if you sign up early but 40 people pay before you then you WILL NOT have a spot. Current students are welcome to pay at the next meeting and anyone is welcome to pay via PayPal. We have a new PayPal address now madisonmotorsports@gmail.com and if you pay via this option please include an extra couple of dollars to cover the fees.
If you have never been karting before it is usually the best event of the fall semester and we traditionally do a little get together at JustinÔÇÖs place afterwords. WeÔÇÖd love to match the 40 people we had last fall and remember its first come first serve.

Just realized we had this so I figured Id participate.
My Name is Blair. I graduated from JMU in 07. I have had somewhere around 25ish cars, mainly VWs-audis. I pretty much will buy anything that I know I can flip and make money off of even if its not cool.
My cooler cars have been.
67 VW Bug (first car)
98 VW GTI (2nd car) (2L to VR6 swapped)
83 VW rabbit gti
84 VW rabbit gti
84 Audi 4000 quattro
92 VW GLI 16v
79 Honda CVCC (pre civic) 1500 hatch
87 Toyota Corolla GTS (AE86)
91 Nissan 240 (SR swaped)
92 Lexus sc300 (1J swapped)
92 Jeep Cherrokee lifted
08 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon (free car)
03 VW GTI (20th AE)
Currently I have my Lexus sc300 and the 20th AE GTI.
Here are some pics of my past cars.
This is all cars I had and built while at JMU.
The mk3 GTI. started life as a yellow 2L, was featured in PVW in 02. In 04 I painted the car green and totally VR6 converted in the summer after my freshmen year. I owned this car 10 years. It was my pride and joy. I recently sold it to a good friend.

it yellow and in full euro trim

then green and full vr converted
At the end of my freshmen year I bought a Rabbit GTI. I LOVE THE OLD SCHOOL. it was stock. I did a lot to it. Fun car, but it had to go to get the ae86

The AE86 corolla got me hooked on RWD. I got this car at the end of my 2nd year at JMU. I had been going to drift events with a good freind and decided I needed RWD. Found this super clean stock GTS at a buss, it wasnt for sale, but I left that day with the car for well under a grand. This was also my first japanese car and i guess you can say is what pulled me away from being hard core VW.

lookout drift even in richmond circa late 04

After doing around 5 drift events I wanted more power than the toyota had. I decided to sell the yota and move on to a new project. A 240 with a SR. I found a bone stock automatic, blown motor 240 in the burg. Bought it and started my SR swap and build. It was a 91 coupe SE. This all happened the summer after my junior year.

The 240 was awesome, it was quick, but I overbuilt the car. Solid motor mouts, loud 3 inch exhaust, stage 3 clutch, 2 way lsd didnt make for a good DD at all. I had lusted over SC300s for years and now was time to build one. The lexus was a original 5 speed car which is rare. the car was also wrecked pretty bad all down the pass. side when i got it. I fixed the body and had it repainted, did a black interior swap and a twin turbo motor. This is my new sexy baby. I did pretty much all this work to the car my senior year at JMU.

I guess all i need now is a pic of my current GTI-DD-Beater.

As per typical, a meeting just got pushed back so I have some extra time cause some guy's kid of course got sick.
I bought this car as a replacement track car for the GSX. My intentions are/were to make this an autocross/track/weekend only car. With hopes of entering it into TTD (track) and being completely uncompetitive in STU (autocross). I wanted the car to be NA, rwd, and somewhat light with relatively inexpensive consumables, but still have enough balls where I wouldnt regret it after a few months for having no power.
This left basically a corvette and m3. The only corvette I wanted was a z06, and then I found out how expensive 315 and 335 hoosiers were...(440 a tire, ouch). I decided against an E46 due to their myriad of engine problems and landed myself into a lightly autocrossed prepped 99 Alpine White m3.
Recent maintenance performed by previous owner:
┬À fifth gear bushings replaced to fix the ÔÇÿstickingÔÇÖ issue
┬À drive shaft guibo
┬À center support bearing
┬À front control arm bushings
┬À rear wheel bearings
Wear items like tires, brakes, clutch, etc are all in good shape or close to new.
Previous owner mods:
┬À Bilstein sports and h&r coils (
┬À TMS sways
┬À X brace
┬À Zimmerman cross drilled rotors (
┬À aluminum front underpanel
┬À conforti cold air box
┬À urethane trans mounts
┬À short throw shifter
┬À euro ellipsoid headlights
┬À removed clutch CDV valve
I took delivery of the car and had a blast with iht. Absolutely no problems and proceded to start to autocross it. Then blew a powersteering hose (apparently typical), and so I gotta replace that, but hopefully no more issues. Plans included some type of exhaust (like to hear where I am on track/autocrossing) a roll bar, pads, etc. Basically track prep.
Recently purchased and installed/in the middle of installing:
UUC RSC36 Cat-back Exhaust
TCKLINE Roll Bar
New G-force harnesses
Aluminum Seat Mounts
PFC06 track pads all the way around
blank rotors for track pads
17x9 T1R Motorsports wheels (16lbs woo) with 245 hankook closeouts
UUC teflon coated SS lines
M50 Manifold (still undecided wether im going to install it
Plans include:
Oil Pan Baffle
Oil Pressure/Temp Gauge
Different Shocks/Springs (maybe AST setup)
Sway Bar Reinforcement plates
Front subframe reinforcement plates
(maybe) track headers and mid-pipe

Hey guys, got a question for yall... We since my grand time autocrossing today I have pretty much shredded the front left tire on the ol' waggie.. My rears are just fine, I'm looking to purchase a good All-season performance tire to replace the two up front.. I'll just rotate the rears to the front and replace the two shredded guys because the rears still have great tread left.. I greatly appreciate yall's suggestions.

Hey all
I'm a transfer student (first actual semester at jmu) and I've met a few of you before at different harrisonburg area car meets. I've been around here my whole life though.
Right now I've got a white v6 firebird as a daily driver. Its stock except for the exhaust.
My last fun car was a 98 eclipse gs-x I had last summer. I sold that at the end of the summer and I've been looking to get something else to mess with since. I'm hoping to get a 91 talon tsi awd next week as another car to mess around with, but well see.
I dabble in photography in my spare time so I could probably take some pictures for members at some point.
Here are some of my pictures:

Hey, this is my first semester at JMU. I am a transfer student but have lived in the area (Broadway) my whole life. Anyone on VAD might know me as TransAmWS6. I'm not actually a member of MM yet but I'm looking to join.
Right now I have a 1970 Ford Torino Cobra that is a running/driving project car waiting until after I graduate and JMU isn't draining my bank account. My daily driver is a bone stock '01 Trans Am WS6.
I look forward to getting all joined up, meeting members, and going to events. You'll probably see a lot of me around because I am ALWAYS down for a cruise or a meet haha.
