  More cool stuff from Dyson.
Posted by: Jeff - 10-15-2009, 10:48 AM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (6)

I have a Dyson Ball 25 vacuum cleaner and I LOVE it. I've been on Dyson's emailing list for awhile and I got this teaser e-mail about a week ago for a new product. It was a film of people's reactions never giving away what it was. Simply "OMG, WTF is it?" Only one guy could tell what it was..."Holy cow, its a ____ without and ______." So I got the e-mail today releasing it.

  FS: 2003 BMW 525i
Posted by: Dave - 10-14-2009, 11:26 PM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (14)

$11,000 OBO

2003 BMW 525i
Approx 72,500 miles (driven daily)
2.5L six-cylinder engine
5-speed manual transmission

Alpine Silver exterior
Grey leather interior
Sport package
Premium package

Recent Maintenance:
63,053 ÔÇô Replaced intake accordion pipe
61,790 ÔÇô replaced front brake rotors and pads, replaced thermostat housing, replaced front control arm bushings, replaced ÔÇ£seat occupantÔÇØ sensor

The car also comes with a 5-year, 150,000 mile warranty, as of 7/27/09 which can be transferred to the new owner as well.

This is a phenomenal car; in my opinion, the perfect combination of an attractive sedan exterior with a superbly comfortable interior. The interior is in flawless condition and everything works as it should. The exterior has some rock chips and normal pitting on the front from driving on the highway and a few scratches elsewhere, however the paint is still in phenomenal shape and it shines brilliantly. The car drives perfectly, shifts smoothly, revs freely, and gets pretty good gas mileage (29-30mpg); it truly is a pleasure to melt away the miles in it. IÔÇÖm selling because I have no need for a 2nd car payment and need to keep my truck, so the BMW has to go. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

  Leaving H'Burg....and the car business.
Posted by: Ryan T - 10-14-2009, 03:51 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (29)

Well, it's official, I'm changing jobs. A few of you that I'm close with already know some about this. Over the last two weeks I've been making several trips to Abingdon to line up this new job. It came to my attention when I was home for my birthday and thanks to some redneck politics and a few interviews I've accepted an offer. I'm going to be working for the Department of Corrections as a Probation Officer. This job is along the lines of what I went to school to do and will get me in the area of the workforce I want to be in. My last day at the dealership will be this coming Tuesday.

I liked the car business and wouldn't mind staying in it, but I can't turn down 9am-4pm mon-fri for more money. Just thougth I'd share. I'm gonna miss the burg...

  FS: Tommy Armour irons
Posted by: WRXtranceformed - 10-14-2009, 03:24 PM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (4)

Thought I'd throw this up on here. The golf club maker upsold me on a set of custom clubs, so I'm letting these go on the cheap. Tommy Armour Silver Scott 855S, 3 iron through SW. Just bought these irons from a friend of mine who used them right out of college and then stored them. They're in great shape other than a rock chip on the bottom heel of the 4 iron.

I'm Will. I'm a super senior econ major. I was on here a few years ago for some tech support and I've been missing the car scene lately, so I thought I'd swing back through and say hey. I totaled my project car for which I made this account a couple years back. Now I'm driving a much less exhilarating tC, so I'll post pics of the old whip.

The Blue Ridge Region SCCA is hosting their final event at the Salem Civic Center on November 1. Yep, the day after Halloween...

Anyway, I'm tentatively interested in going and didn't know who else would go, if anyone.

ok,
Well I am Kristin, and I find it weird that there are not more girls in this club...
Anyway I am a Freshman from outside of Richmond, in good ole' Mechanicsville.
I have always grown up around some sort of racing, my dad has been racing go-karts since he was 16 and so naturally I have been around that most of my life and started racing when I was 12. A common misconception, these karts are not your typical yardkarts-they go 120 MPH and pull and average of 13,000 RPMS, pull 3 gs of force, and have a 2 stroke engine on them and are "automatic"-you slap one gear on the kart, so they start off slow but yell down the straights. So my first vehicle was my kart:
(That is my dad in it-hand me down kart)

Just this year all of sudden there was an increase in the girl population in racing and my class managed to win an all GIRL podium, so there is not a lack of estrogen in the sport, but I am used to being around a bunch of guys, getting all greasy and dirty and talking about different chassis types, what type of gear to run, exactly how much blendzall do i mix with this fuel, etc.
So racing is my thing, not neccessarily cars, but I love cars too-and I am such a girl in car choice because I mainly only care for the looks-the R8 and The Lambo Gallardo are my favs! I am currently selling my old car (can't tell you what that is) and looking into some sort of VW.

Ok I am not sure if the pictures are loading or if I am just stupid and don't know how to but visit the site below..it needs to be updated BAD.but it gives you an idea.

I look forward to the autocrosses and G-force!! yay, and meeting all of you,

Peace,
