So I don't usually get into Halloween that much, but my buddy and I were building a homemade costume last night and it kind of got my juices flowing. Since I have been gradually progressing into a conservative gun-loving, government-distrusting Southerner over the past 5 years, I though it was only appropriate to select a sniper as my costume this year :lol:

I flat out don't have the time to build a full ghillie suit, and truthfully i have always wanted one since I was in middle school running around in our woods with my friends playing paintball. They have always been super expensive for good ones, but Amazon tends to be the great equalizer and I was able to snag a really good one for a decent price. And it will be here tomorrow:

And what is any good sniper without his tool of the trade? I didn't want some cheezy plastic rifle from Walmart, I wanted to actually be able to fire the thing. And I have always wanted one of these, just never really had a good reason to get one. Until now:

I knew there was a huge Nerf modding community, but I didn't realize how insane some people get about it. I wanted mine to be extra ridiculous, so I ordered the Orange Mod Works Massacre Kit with it:

So I will be doing the mods to the rifle and paiting it into an awesome scheme. There are some pretty amazing ones out there and I probably won't go too crazy. But I was thinking something bold and ridiculous like black with gold accents (like a modified version of the CoD golden guns).

Hello Madison Motorsports,

My name is Ben Maddock, and I'm now the current VP of Car Club at Virginia Tech. Unfortunately our show was poorly planned on the same day of the College Challenge autocross event this Fall so our presence was much smaller than usual.

As for formalities, I drive a 1993 Nissan 240sx and am a senior in mechanical engineering. I do mostly spirited driving around here with the car but no official events yet. Hoping to do a few autocross events as they pop up as I just got the car running damn near perfect for how old it is and ready to start throwing suspension work at it.

Hope to meet you all sometime soon but as for now I'll try and post around.

Just poking around here- anyone located near Raleigh? Only one that comes to mind in NC is Scotty.

Since my sophomore year Raleigh/ Durham area has been on my list of places to hop next after graduation. My parents sorta copied my idea and looked at some golf communities down there as well- looks like Spring time both me and my fam will be headed down.
