Please reserve June 22, 2013 on your calendars. This will be an all day affair (10am until we all pass out) to ensure everyone can make it the “great distance” required. We anticipate guests from as far away as Pittsburgh PA or Baltimore MD… so they will get first dibs on beds/bedrooms! Parking is semi limited (another reason for the all-day affair) so car pool (and designate a driver) as needed. For those of you who can’t read a paragraph!
Kaan and Sylvia’s House
June 22, 2013; 10am-pass out
854 Great Lake Drive
Middletown VA 22645
*** bring a sleeping bag/blow up mattress, we have enough floor space I think***
***Designate a driver and carpool***
Additional Items:
We will have some beverages and food… Some of you are picky eaters due to religious convictions, gastrointestinal issues, fear of animals, baby making, or you are just on a diet…. Please let us know your limitations so we can ensure you get fed and watered.
We will be getting a quarter keg of some brewed beverage. If you can’t drink brewed beverages you might want to bring your own distilled beverages. For the truly picky drinker, I’m sure there will be at least a case of PBR on hand.
Here are some hotels. Please feel free to further investigate for prices as you see fit. (/insertwilliamshatner…priceline negotiator)

Just found out there's a truck and car show at the bridgewater fair grounds (behind the town office building).
Tomorrow - Saturday May 18th.
No Registration Fee, all vehicles welcome, all exhibitors receive a door prize.
Registration starts @ 8:30
Food & 50/50 raffle
Haven't been to this before, so don't have a clue of what to expect, heard there's usually 50-80 cars there. I'll probably stop down to check it out.

I have a Griots DA and Ive become very comfortable with it. It came with their 2 and 3 polish, but neither seem to be agressive enough to take care of some of the more serious scratches and water etching I have on my hood. I know both the scratches and etching are both light enough to be fixed, so my question is:
What's your go to polish or compound for imperfections like these? Average swirls are gone, to give you an idea of where the paint is currently. Im not partial to any brand, so all suggestions are welcomed.

Mmph. I'm liking this a lot better than the Euro 1-series hatch and the current 1 series. Whenever a M2 drops I might have to give it a serious look, assuming they cut a good amount of weight out of it.

Selling my oontz setup. Dunno when it was actually bought new, as it came in an e30 I bought back in...2007?
I had it in my e46 for about a year, but got sick of taking it out for events, and I also don't really listen to music that loudly anymore. When I took it out a year and a half ago, it still hit hard and worked well. Visually in great shape, just a little black paint flaking off of the corners of the amp. I also have a large gauge fused power cable that is long enough for any application.

Not really into the audio market, but it seems the present equivalent of this sub and amp are like $6-700 each. I'm thinking $500 for the whole shebang is a decent deal.
Ain't shipping it, but willing to meet up somewhere (in Norfolk now, Richmond soon).

As stated, I have for sale a set of (4) Hoosier 275/35/17 A6s. Brand new with the stickers still on them. I have since decided to not bother trying to squeeze these on the m3, as I am happy with the amount of tire it has on it....for now.

| The Great Gatsby? |

So I couldn't really find a movie review thread so I'm just gonna post this here.
Did anyone watch The Great Gatsby? Planning on watching it? Don't know if you want to watch it? Either way, this is what I thought about it, it would be cool to hear what others think:
Okay so The Great Gatsby really wasn't that great at all. Too much going on with the visuals, the CGI was ridiculously obvious and overwhelming. Although the music sounded good it didn't really fit imo. I mean its a cool twist but when you stick that close to the book and then throw in this modern music, its just awkward. Did they really have to get Jay-Z to put all that together? Anyways... I felt like some parts were literally being read to me from the book through a movie screen and the reading wasn't that great. It was just this fast line-by-line rambling rather than a masterfully articulated conversation that would have given us the same information necessary to understand the story. I really felt like I was just watching someone's imagination as they read the book, which for me, is poor directing/producing. After about halfway through the movie, when the story started to finally pick up, I was more sucked in and I began to ignore all the little bits that irked the shit out of me and then the movie started to seem better. It was definitely emotional in the latter end and we started to see the actors hone their characters qualities/traits much better.
As for the acting, Leo Dicap was awkward in the beginning to me and I hated the way he said "old sport". I would not have chosen Carrie Mulligan for Daisy. Toby Maguire was actually spot on for Nick Carraway. Speaking of Nick... Did anyone else feel like Nick was just waaayy to homo-erotic about Gatsby? I know Nick thought highly of Gatsby but god damn! I felt like they were about to start humping in the middle of the movie or some shit. I would say all the other actors fit their characters well. Oh yeah, what was up with all their voices? Once again.. feeling like i'm watching someone's imagination.
All in all it was just okay. The story is the story, if you've read the book, you've seen the movie. No variant there, so there's nothing to really say about that. The music was good but not fitting, the visual gave me a headache, acting was weird at parts, some scenes were spot on to how I imagined it from the book and it took half the movie before I began to appreciate anything about the movie. Nothing exceptional or anything to rant/rave about.
Hmmmm, I give it a 3.62/5 :|
Anyone else have any thoughts about it?
