I can't go but maybe someone else here can. They'll have the Duke and Super Duke and some adventure bikes. Not a bad way to spent a Sunday afternoon.

Anyone have some old e30 parts laying around? Picked up a 1991 318is the other week, and from what i can tell so far it needs an ac button, that in-dash computer screen (or the entire keypad), strut mount dust cap. It had an aftermarket radio, but would like to put a stock head unit back in. oh, and it is also missing the lower front spoiler, clips are still there though. my guess is the previous owner parked it on top of those cement parking spot blocks a few too many times as the front metal spoiler is pushed back a bit also.
let me know if you've got any of these or other parts. (as i'm sure it'll need more as i get into it)
random photos of it for the curious. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="https://picasaweb.google.com/114358848988236123134/BMW318is?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCIarlLzUz-G_Iw&feat=directlink">https://picasaweb.google.com/1143588489 ... directlink</a><!-- m -->

Has anyone else seen this? Andy Green (Royal Air Force Fighter Pilot) is attempting to go 1000 MPH in this crazy contraption. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/bloodhound-1000mph-cockpit-2014-6-16">http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/bloo ... -2014-6-16</a><!-- m -->

Anyone interested in doing this? It seems like its more of an "open track" type of deal, so no classroom, and I think you have prove you have enough experience to be without an instructor.
TD does offer 1 day options as well.

Sup guys. Me and the Central VA TacomaWorld group are camping out at Shoe Creek in Lexington on Friday night, then wheeling on Saturday morning. We'll be grilling Friday night and consuming beverages like you track people do, but we'll also be camping out in the thick of it. The camp sites at Shoe are beautiful and right next to a nice creek, so I might even swim a little. It is about an hour from even cell phone service ones we're out there, so it's always good to go with a bunch of people, so now's your chance for anyone who hasn't run it. Stock vehicles can make it if you're confident and most obstacles have go-arounds.

About 6 months ago I was in New York City for vacation and stopped nu my sister and sister in law's place and they mentioned trying to get together the family for the 4th of July. They mentioned they had just bought a lakehouse in CT and my sister's father in law said "it's near a big race track". I thought nothing of it (probably a circle track), until he mentioned again saying it was "rock" or something. Turns out they are only 4 miles from Lime Rock. And luck would have it, Lime Rock is having NASA-NE come for one of their only "unmuffled" events.
So I will be hauling the rig up there but won't be staying in my trailer. I figured if someone wanted to come up to LimeRock, they are more than welcome to stay in the trailer to save on some costs. This is a bucket list track for me, and it is VERY rare for Limerock to have club racing, nevertheless unmuffled weekend.

| Brake Pad Recommendations |

Okay. I've been told it is a good idea to get dedicated rotors/pads for the track but... I'm trying to keep this reasonable here with someone on a budget. I DD, auto-x, and track the car (only Hyperdrive's so far but plan on HPDE's). What are some pads people recommend?
I've been seeing some Carbotech pads are actually interchangeable on the same rotors from agressive street to full track pads can be used on the same rotors. I was also looking at Hawk HP+, EBC Yellow (heard of cracking issue under high heat but my car isn't something heavy), and StopTech perfomance. I plan to get SS lines and put some good brake fluid in along with pads once the stock pads are toast.
I know I should get dedicated things but I don't think that will be an option when the time comes.
