WTB....uh....I DON'T KNOW!
Posted by: LorenaBeana - 07-20-2004, 01:44 PM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (39)

So. I decided to test out the Z today. it's more money than I want to spend, but dude, I tested out the 2003 track model, and ... wow. Put it this way...I got back in my car, and checked to see if the parking brake was on. So, I'm having this crisis. Right now I'm at the point where if I want a cool car, I should get it now, because at some point I'll have to drive a baby-mover. So, I made a spreadsheet of all the finer points of a few cars. Now the dilemma is this:

IS300: Na supra engine, seats 5, relatively cheap BUT is it sporty enough?, very few 5spds
RX8: sporty, seats 4, BUT rotory engine?I'm not sure I want it, gas milage, blind spots
Z: sporty, very fast, looks good, BUT $$$ (G35 is way to $$$)
Mk4supra: too old, too expensive, and no, I would not consider an NA

Mom said I should get 4WD/AWD for my job. Dad said to consider a WRX Confusedhock: , which is really funny because he's definitely not a subaru-o-phile. But all this made me think:

S4: (2001-2002) 250bhp/lb/ft, AWD, seats 5, not TOO $$, BUT it's an audi, bad gas milage

What do you think guys. And no, 2 cars isn't an option. And I have absolutely no desire to be seen in an evo.

What class do I enter for the VMSC auto-x in dinwiddie?
Posted by: 83Rabbit - 07-20-2004, 12:18 PM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (30)

It asks what class I want to enter in the registration process.... I have no idea.

Currently I have a 90 vw corrado with an atp turbo kit, isv re-route, bbs 15'' wheels, GR2 shocks, and Eurosport IC tubes. Any idea how I figure out what class I run in? The index site for vmsc.zeobandwidth.net is just a link to registration. It gives no class requirements :?:

From the makers of Top Gear...
Posted by: MSPxavier - 07-20-2004, 09:31 AM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (6)

I am sure some of you have already seen this show, but I thought I would post it anyways because it is finally exciting to have a decent car show in the U.S. instead of having to download all of the UK Top Gear episodes. I watched part of one last night and they compared the Civic Type R vs the new Ford ST160. The show still seems to be based out of the UK so there are still cars that they review that we obviously do not get, but its still something better on tv than most of the other crap nowadays.

Hey everybody, i know how much you all hate my car... but I've bought some stuff to make you hate it more.

Next weekend, I'm having my wastegate ported, installing a Manual Boost Controller (thx home depot!), rewiring my fuel pump so it gets bumpin voltage, tossing in a new o2 sensor, installing Racing beat downpipe and presilencer, and a bling bling apexi intake. Then I'll set the boost to 9psi solid (now it's 8psi-11psi depending on how moody its feeling) and I'll be running around 220whp. Hooray for revving like a motorcycle!

and here's a movie for visiting my thread: http://www.1300cc.com/media/start.mov

Next step to be completed this summer: drilled/slotted rotors, SS lines, HP+ pads, FA rubbers

Well I haven't been around in couple months but thats about to change because im soon going to be done with school and heading back to Harrisonburg. Well last Saturday the IRL came to Nashville and I just couldn't pass up the event. Its the first Indy race Ive ever been to and can honestly say it was a great experience. Tony Kanaan won the race and put on a heck of a show, but I took some pics and thought I would share. Adam

 Free 205/50/15 Falkens
Posted by: .RJ - 07-19-2004, 01:07 PM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (10)

Have 2 falkens in usable condition - I'll take a pic of them this evening, but they're pretty worn (to the wear bars). Just come get them... If they're not gone later this week, I'll have to take them up to the gas station and toss them. Good for autox, 2 (maybe 3?) weekends on track.

Also have 2 others - one had a screw in it that I pulled out (not through the inside) and another has a nail in it that you can feel on the inside of the tire - they would be fine if you patched them - usually $20/tire to have that done, tires are probably worth that. Same deal as the others - come get them or else they're trash by next week.

I *might* be able to get them to VIR but no promises on that (they'd have to go in someone else's car to get there).
