hey jack, you know the pictures at the top of the page behind the MM logo and club statement (the Z, vette, mclaren F1, etc). do we have any cool new pictures to put up there? not a gripe at all, just wondering. i know it would be a hassle but if you did find any cool new stuff it would be a nice change.

I learned that the Tony Roma's close to my house closed down. No more for me unless I travel for a bit. Just thought I'd share my heartbreaking news.

  fun yet cheapo video game
Posted by: ScottyB - 07-24-2004, 08:50 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (1)

i was browsing through the Bi-Lo today and they have a small PC game rack. i saw an old favorite that i had a demo of like 2 years ago: Insane Offroad by codemasters. it was 4.99, so naturally i said what the hell and picked it up. i forgot how much fun this game is. the graphics and sound arent amazing by current game standards, but its still very realistic. there is alot of adjustability and the game play is all kinds of fun. the suspension articulation on the vehicles is awesome, and the damage is so realistic. the vehicles are stadium trucks, military trucks, jeeps, baja bugs, sand rails and dakar buggies. you can play regular races, capture the flag, pathfinder, destruction derby, and some others i cant think of right now. its simple stuff but in the end you just want to play it again. i know offroading isnt exactly the biggest interest of this club but this game is great, and if you see it for 4.99 like i did then snatch it up.

any old favorite cheapo games you guys can think of? another one that isnt racing related that i used to play like whoa was delta force 2. that and unreal tournement...definitely killed my morning classes

That's right 5 brand new karts that haven't been beaten to a pulp by the masses. Let's review some of the features of these new karts:

1)OOOOH look at that a belt not a chain
[Image: wNDkwMTMyNnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg]

2) OOOOH a real muffler
[Image: wNDkwMTM4NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg]

3) Holy shit, straight control arms, wonder how long that will last
[Image: wNDkwMTI4NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg]

4) Still in it's packaging
[Image: wNDkwMTMxNnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg]

5) It's a Sodi Kart
[Image: wNDkwMTI0NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg]

6) Yes that lil red handle means an adjustable seat
[Image: wNDkwMTIyNnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg]

7) Yes kiddies you're reading that correctly, that says 9.0
[Image: wNDkwMTIzNnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg]

8 ) The children all lined up
[Image: wNDkwMTI3NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg]

9) Another new monster is ready to be broken in
[Image: wNDkwMTIxNnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg]

10) Another shot of the kids
[Image: wNDkwMTU1NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg]

I'll keep y'all updated as to when the transponders get in and you guys are eligible to drive them. It's the same ruling as G-Force though, and you have to be a paid member, so be sure you have your up to date card available if you wanna drive these bad boys. I took one out for about 30 min earlier breaking in the engine, that's some quick damn pickup on the straight.

RX7club member Wrote:asker: do they make intercoolers for n/a's. just wondering
...
Member's reply: LOL, yea of course they do. They are gauranteed to cool the air down to near ambient temperature. LMAO Besides cooling the intake air to near ambient temperature, it is most efficient if you use it with a blowoff valve. On a naturally aspirated car, when you shut the throttle, the air still wants to go into the engine. With a blowoff valve you can vent this excess air to the atmosphere to help protect your intake system and the intercooler. I wish you guys could see the tears in my eyes from laughing while im writing this.
...
Other reply: I think you should do a write up on the installation of the intercooler on your N/A. We could archive it so everyone will know how to do it. Please get some dyno results when you are done.
....
asker: ok who makes a nice cooling system?
...
Reply: You can try this site, I hear they are the best in the world

If there was ever any doubt

If there was any ever doubt whether or not .RJ is a total fehg it was all cleared up last night. I arrived at his house to pick up the desk from him and found this display on the replacement desk:
Oh and here's the soap he uses:

His explanation "oh my mom bought a huge case of the shit at Costco", ok understood, but why do you feel the need to have that massive display on your desk where you spend the majority of your evenings.

Last day at work ;))) last attempt at half decent topic ;)
Posted by: jmualfaracer - 07-23-2004, 06:44 AM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (21)

well, this is my last day stuck in a cubicle for 40 hours a week. I just wanted to say that I am glad i found this forum cus I dont think I would have made it otherwise... Once again I am really impressed with Madison motorsports and i haven't even met anyone in person yet 'tear'... you guys should publicize this site a little more because it really shows a lot about the club. Anyways time for me to get lost and hopefully make it to the white island... I look foward to meeting most of you guys in the fall... I am trying to get something a little closer to the ground than the wranglerSmile))))) so hopefully I will have a decent car by then.. you guys have no idea how hard it is to sell an ar.

on another note, in the past five weeks I have most probably posted the shittiest topics known to man. here is one last attempt at saving face Wink

two things my world revolves around, women (usually fine women) and anything with wheels. (most straight guys would agree, so .RJ dont feel left out... 'joke') And every guy has his dream girl and dream car... faced with a choice between the two, what does one pick????? In my case it would be a ride in an F-50 gt or a very back aching night with Alizee... and no you cant say the car gets you the girl... its a moral issue. whats more important????
