This is the friday of fall break. Im gonna head back home to dc on thursday night, catch up with friends, and then see these guys friday night. Should be one hell of a party, and I absolutely cant wait to see dieselboy live. If you live in the area and have ever wondered about these genre's of music, come out friday and see some of the best there is, and perhaps the best their is when it comes to drum and bass.

This Tuesday, September 28, at 8pm the DISCOVERY channel will be airing a show entitled "Extreme Mustang : Back to the Track" which will feature the S197 program as you've never seen it before - as a race car! See the first public glimpses of this new Mustang racer, which follows up on the Mustang's history as a successful racecar in numerous series such as Trans-Am and Grand Am.

Also featured on the show will be the Rehagen Racing team, a team made up almost entirely of Ford employees which is currently campaigning 2004 Mustang Cobras in Grand Am Cup and is currently 3rd in points in the series with only three races to go! This privateer team of volunteer engineers is competing against factory-backed teams from Cadillac, Nissan, Porsche, and Audi - AND WINNING!

The show will also re-air the same night at 11pm, and again on October 3 at 2pm

Ford apparently is also cutting its WRC program back to only running the European rounds of the championship (no show at Mexico ).

I suppose if Ford operations are hurting it would only make sense to cut the motorsports budgets. As far as F1 goes it doesn't seem like Ford was putting forth the kind of effort they would need in order to be able to compete regularly with the top tier teams. Still, I kind of feel like if they really worked hard and were more efficient they could get a better return on investment. Perhaps if Ford looking at F1 as a tool for training its engineers and doing advanced R&D it'd be more worthwhile for them.

With WRC Ford looked like it was making some serious headway for awhile and I can't help but think that success in WRC would help their sales a lot in Europe. I think they should keep their money in WRC rather than waste it in NASCAR and to a lesser extent, Champ Car.

Oh well, I hope they'll be back soon. Or at the very least maybe they're planning a return to Le Mans.

On the way up to DC, i realized with the windows down and sunroof open, that... damn.... im really gonna miss the speed and especially the style of the car.
But my blood pressure, and the need for a non-project-dailydriver outweighed the fun factor of driving it.

Now my credit card is paid off as of 1 hour ago, and i have 6,000 to scoop up an unmolested ride and throw the rest in savings
