Members Page
Posted by: JackoliciousLegs - 11-10-2004, 05:25 PM - Forum: Site Suggestions/Status - Replies (19)

The reason there have been no updates recently to the members page is because I'm working on a backend for it. It will be a separate entity from the forum.

Features:
Full admin interface
Discernable difference between members and users
Able to log in and update your information yourself
Possibly: 1 picture upload

PS. I think I'm going to nix the gallery. It hogs space and it's rarely used.

So what's the deal with woodruff keys?
Posted by: JohnC - 11-10-2004, 12:53 PM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (9)

So, having lost the woodruff key that keeps the crank pulley turning with the crankshaft, I began to ponder... Why is it there? Is it to provide a point of failure between the crankshaft and the accessories? To avoid the potential for damage to the crankshaft (and hence avoid having to dissasemble the engine if the theres an issue with the pulley)... I dunno - Discuss.

Top 3 most beautiful cars in the history of ever
Posted by: ScottyB - 11-09-2004, 12:38 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (28)

so what cars get your votes as the top 3 hotties of all time? for me:

- jaguar E-Type (gorgeous curves, long hood, understated)
- ferrari F40 (wide body, purposeful, aggressive proportions)
- FD RX-7 (more gorgeouser curves, smooth and lithe)

i really like the original lotus elise and the alfa romeo giulia as well. i'm also a fan of alot of 80's designs with blister fenders Big Grin

Door sill install completed this weekend
Posted by: WRXtranceformed - 11-08-2004, 06:49 PM - Forum: Appearance/Cosmetic - Replies (2)

But sadly, I left my digi camera here at school heh. I can't remember if I posted anything about these, but here are some pics of what it looks like from scoobymods.com... looks pretty much the same except this guy was probably more patient than i was in cutting them to fit. Mine look basically the same installed except they have a flat aluminum finish instead of that checkered appearance in these pics:

I dunno, it took a bit of dremelling, but I think they turned out great on my rex. A very cheap way to add some bling to your ride. I'm not sure what kinds of cars it would fit, but you cut it for customization. Cost me $10 per set of two from http://www.ltbmotorsport.com/doorsills.html
