The nice weather has given me the urge to get back out on the bike after a 2-year hiatus. As such, I'm going to be slow and out of shape!
Anyone in Harrisonburg looking to hit some trails this season? If you're already in outstanding shape you need not respond ;-).

i'm there man. i'm slow and out of shape too!
Out torward Reddish there are some outstanding trails. Mud Pond, Boyscout, New/Old long run, and a bunch of others that I don't know the names of or that I don't know the presence of.
Maybe after CMP we can get this going? Until then I have engines to install (2) and brakes to fix (4 total, 1 car), turbo to reinstall, yada yada.
Who else is up for it?

mmm.....boyscout, one of my faves.
maybe Long Run when Im in better shape, that would kick my ass beyond belief right now!
hehe beginners are gonna be hurtin' after those rides i'd recommend the rock garden to get in a little shape and practice your technical skills. either way, pacec dictates how tough it'll be, i suppose if you take your time those rides won't be too tough

I'm up for some mountain biking. I haven't been really serious about it for a few years but it would be nice to get back into it.

we'll give you a full point if you can ride your bike down the hill and break 35 mph in the process!
i ride from sunchase to grace street nearly every day for class, and i ride through the village to get there. the village hill blows ass, so i feel your pain.
the village hill has NOTHING on the port republic hill. rob, where do you live? you can bypass the hill by going through hunter's ridge.

hey man, not so fast! from the art studio on grace street, all the way to sunchase is all uphill, so its like a giant hill with the village hill in the middle just to piss you off. but yeah, you win...port republic is pretty beasty.
