kcook Wrote:Wow, 8 times? Is that necessary lol DJ is an official.... Nationals is sorta serious, i think there was money on the table this year still. scales after every session isnt unheard of. he is fast... and no one i talked to thought his "combo" on the car was strong enough to be compete, let alone win, so as soon as he posted a good time... he was SOL

Kaan Wrote:kcook Wrote:Wow, 8 times? Is that necessary lol Yeah, the only session they didnt weigh me was when I had a mechanical failure. I broke 3 wheel studs coming around a hard left-hander. These were brand new VERY expensive studs, so I was not happy at all. We took it all off and spent lots of time inspecting everything. Found out our spacer has a 1mm lip that wasnt letting the wheel contact properly and we think was the cause of the issue. Luckily we brought extra studs, but even better was the maker of my studs was there and he handed us five new ones even though it was the spacers fault! The surprise was the dyno and THREE car inspections. Only one other car was required to dyno out of TTB/TTC/TTD/TTE that I saw, and all the other cars only got checked once. I cant hate too much, a car they never seen before in 1st and breaking a record never being at that track before would catch my bullshit meter too. Kaan, proved those guys wrong.

Kaan, Dj and Rex - I didnt realize he was weighed after every session lol. I thought it was 8 in a row which is why I asked. Makes a lot more sense now. I was just in HPDE and was never familiar with the rules and what goes on when something is addressed per dj's car.
"I cant hate too much, a car they never seen before in 1st and breaking a record never being at that track before would catch my bullshit meter too" ^ I'd for sure say the same thing.

Dj, can you sign that power steering pump that you are bringing to the college challenge, it will increase the value of my car when you become famous.
Really though, awesome job out there. Congrats on being a BOSS! I believe we need to get that car wrapped in some MM swag. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk

Im also going to contact JMU for funding, id love to incorporate a little bit of MM in it as well. Off to October VIR and Comp School for my first wheel to wheel races. I plan on just finishing and then going for the championship in GTS2 for 2012. Who knows, some good sorting out of the car could land me a nice podium spot in 2012 if im lucky.

Yeah im editing some video. I unfortunately ran out of memory right before my "fast lap" for the weekend. But I definitely have video of close to my fast laps, me getting the rear end airbone over madness, and the moment when I broke those wheel studs.
