I might be canoeing the weekend of the 7th, but if not then I'm there. No recipe for Chili to bring so I'll just bring beer and then some non-heartburn food.
Looks like Aug 7 is a go.
Matt, go canoeing another weekend!
bonus: my Dad will be there, and you bet your ass I will have him playing beer pong
Just got confirmation that my canoeing trip is the weekend of the 7th, I'd reschedule it, but it's not an option, the deposit has already been put down.

Awesome! Aug. 7th it is: mark your calendars. Can you post directions to your place once it gets closer to the 7th? I'm assuming it would take me about 2 hrs from Richmond.

hopefully my bowels will not feel the wrath of kaan. if they do, kaan will have two MM dishes that have nicknames which is pretty good considering no one else has any. (unless you count evan's nutty bars...)

btw: this event is BYOTP
hey rookie.... crock pots are for old ladies.... real chili is cooked on the stove top or better yet over a fire using the "slow country boil" technique!
cook at home, bring in crockpot, keep hot. duh.
bonus points if you can rig up exhaust or other automotive heat source to cook or keep chili warm for the trip. Points deducted if subjects die from fuel, oil, coolant or exhaust gas poisoned chili.
