You can never afford the car you really want

- JackoliciousLegs - 07-20-2005 if you really want to sell, cars.com is great. - .RJ - 07-20-2005 autotrader > cars.com - Feersty - 07-20-2005 Mike Wrote:i'd say anything under $35k is doable for someone with a decent job out of college. I like to hear that. - .RJ - 07-20-2005 All depends on what your priorities are. If you want to live at home with mom and dad, and not drive at the track, then sure a $35k car is no problem. - Mike - 07-20-2005 Maeng has a 30k car, he lives on his own, he also tracks. It can be done

If you want to live at home with mom and dad, and not drive at the track, then sure a $35k car is no problem. i agree, i mean you could afford a $700 monthly payment easily if you're living at home and have a decent job, but that all depends if you're willing to pay $700/month + whatever downpayment (2-3k) for 5 years...that's a lot for that amount of time for me ( and most of us out of college ) at this point. I'll stick to < 8k right now until i start making more money and saving more. Eventually i'd like to put a heavy down payment so i can pay less in interest. - .RJ - 07-20-2005 Mike Wrote:Maeng has a 30k car, he lives on his own, he also tracks. It can be done Maeng isnt fresh out of school either. - Maengelito - 07-20-2005 Mike Wrote:Maeng has a 30k car, he lives on his own, he also tracks. It can be done well, i've got roommates and my rent is dirt cheap. i still think it can be done with a few sacrifices though. god forbid, but cutting my social budget (ie: bar tabs) would help me out a lot and is very doable for someone that isnt me. - ScottyB - 07-26-2005 Jay, i'll miss this car as much as you will good luck with the selling of the torkless wonder, hopefully she finds a good home. - Sijray21 - 08-02-2005 back up with a more realistic lower price $7650  - Sijray21 - 08-10-2005 $7400 if you know anyone that would like this car, let me know! She's gotta go.....so i can get on two wheels  |
