Two things - KPWSerpiente - 10-06-2004 Nice to meet you new peeps. And an apology that you had to sit through my presentation, I didn't think it was that amazing but then again I did try my best so it was as good as it was going to get. -T - Ryan T - 10-06-2004 Likewise it was a pleasure to meet all the new guys. And Travis, I really enjoyed your presentation....however biased or tainted it might have been. Very nice job, very informative.
- Chris - 10-06-2004 yeah glad everyone made it out- good times. great presentation T, I actually learned some stuff! - CaptainHenreh - 10-06-2004 It was really interesting, Travis... But tell me, I expected to see you with a 1G Intake manifold...is there a reason you don't have one. Nice, cheap upgrade... - Feersty - 10-06-2004 Great presentation T - Dave - 10-06-2004 good job Travis, at least in terms of giving some good information. Shitty subject, but somebody had to cover it :-p - Nick325is - 10-06-2004 Good job on the presentation Travis. Definitly learned a few things about DSMs....including what it stands for  Nice to meet all of the new people to the club. Nick - ScottyB - 10-07-2004 yeah man nice presentation even though i only caught half of it. walking in and hearing the words "shaft play" definitely had me looking around the room to make sure i was in the right club though
- KPWSerpiente - 10-07-2004 Thanks guys. Quote:But tell me, I expected to see you with a 1G Intake manifold...is there a reason you don't have one. Nice, cheap upgrade... I could do both a 1g throttle body, larger, and a 1g intake manifold, much better flow, but the intake ports on the 2g head are smaller...it won't match up. I'd rather port it if I did that, or buy an aftermarket manifold designed for the 2g intake ports. Needless to say....I'm not pulling the head off my daily driver and having it ported anytime soon, especially when I just replaced the headgasket a month ago with one that cost 100 bucks. -T - .RJ - 10-07-2004 Get a 1g head then
- Mike - 10-07-2004 .RJ Wrote:Get a 1g head then duh - Sijray21 - 10-07-2004 nice presentation, but that T in travis should stand for TTraction didn't know the dsm's made quite that much power, impressive - KPWSerpiente - 10-07-2004 Quote:Get a 1g head then Quote:duh Jeez guys...to think...here I was spending ALL my time and money on my car...and you guys who couldn't even tell me the differences between a 1g head and 2g head have come up with the perfect plan for me!! To break it down, putting a 1g head on the car would be more work than porting out my 2g head, and since this is still a daily driver, my only car, I don't have weeks/months/years like other dsmers you might know to do things like that. Quote:didn't know the dsm's made quite that much power, impressiveThey only make 195-210 stock...but it is also about the potential. -T - Mike - 10-07-2004 my duh was just jokingly said... but yeah... awd + 1g head

Really? Me and chris did 90% of the work in a day, and the only reason it was held up past that was getting some parts (water pipe and a few other odds and ends). The ports looked about twice as big on the 1g
- deeseetoo - 10-07-2004 whats up man, i talked with you for a little bit after the meeting, nice presentation. - KPWSerpiente - 10-08-2004 Quote:Really? Me and chris did 90% of the work in a day, and the only reason it was held up past that was getting some parts (water pipe and a few other odds and ends). Well that is good for Chris I suppose. Why don't you gather up all the parts I will need, I'm a 98 so you don't need the 97 up sensor like I assume you used when doing Chris'...and I STILL WON'T do it because it isn't needed...I will hit my goal of 400+ at the wheels on a stock 2g head and bottom end. The cams will be swapped out and I would like to do the intake manifold with an aftermarket one...but no headswap here folks. Quote:whats up man, i talked with you for a little bit after the meeting, nice presentation.Yo man, thanks. When am I going to get to see the Teg? -T - .RJ - 10-08-2004 KPWSerpiente Wrote:The cams will be swapped out and I would like to do the intake manifold with an aftermarket one...but no headswap here folks. Why make it harder? Oh wait, nevermind
