i forgot about that one and i thought that it was just my car since it was broken into so many times. if i locked the driver's side it would lock the rest of the doors though.

i forgot to add one:
- the power lock mechanism on the door panel only worked for the driver's side...wtf is the point of that (again, probably the result of the numerous break-ins)

SRT4:

-1st gear useless (lolz fwd)
-2nd gear useless in winter (more lolz)
-Hard shifting in 1st and R
-Occasional exhaust rattle thanks to Dryft
-Attracts other SRT4 owners

It's just a whacky system. It sometimes will unlock, then lock again right away. I get so pissed that the car thinks it knows better than I what I want.

these 2 i complain about the most out of the ~4 years ive had the car

- my car needs a 6th gear
- needs moar 5x114 (would be amazing)
- turning radius owns me...
- interior rattles since almost day 1
- clunking that ive checked and rechecked
- power windows are weak when they get towards the top

Oh how i miss that place.....

Miata:
its loud, both wind noise and exhaust - I'm playing around with exhaust combinations to make it a little quieter (anyone have a spare NB racing beat muffler?)
its really really clunky - hopefully replacing the camber bolts will fix that
it rattles a lot - I thought it was the throwout bearing but after recently replacing it, it still rattles.
no power steering - its actually not too bad except when you're trying to parallel park
no A/C - I'm in the middle of reinstalling the system (or atleast have been for the past 2 years or so)
no power door locks/keyless entry
power windows are sloooow - I'll be cleaning the tracks and regreasing the cables
I've got the "65 mph shimmy"
fuel economy is surprisingly bad for a small, lightweight 4 cyl car

STi:
no fold down rear seat
its getting more and more squeaky and rattly
rear wing is "boy-racerish" - contemplating trunk swap
certain roads at certain speeds make the driver's seat undulate so it feels like you're on a school bus (known issue)
reaks of gasoline in really cold weather (known issue)
rear strut clunk (known issue, struts replaced under warranty awhile ago but clunk has returned to a lesser extent)
crappy repair job from an accident several years ago means the trunk sometimes rub up against the tail light
auto-dimming mirror is nice but sometimes its too dim
gas mileage (premium) is pretty bad (I knew that getting into it, but still annoying)
no tie downs in the trunk
floor mats slide all over the place

Jake Wrote:ÔÇó Gotta duck at lights with the top up
ÔÇó Air brakes, aka barn doors
ÔÇó The unheard ÔÇ£meep meepÔÇØ of the horn
as for the stop lights, me too. Its annoying sometimes but I took out the sun visors and don't deal with it nearly as much anymore.
I'm not sure what you mean by air brakes (atleast in a Miata)
The horn was pretty terrible but I ended up getting some Hella Supertones for the Subaru then took the Subaru horns out and put them in the Miata, much better!

Evan Wrote:miata:
no real cupholders.
rear view mirror is mounted a little too low, especially for taller drivers.
Get a 01+ center console, muuuuuuch better than the crappy 99-00 consoles/cupholders. It was totally worth it for me.
As for the rearview mirror, I can't think of how its attached right now, but I assume its just on the windshield. You could probably pull it off and then use one of those glue/epoxy kits to mount it a little higher, not sure though.

Apoc Wrote:-Gas cap it attached but there's no place to hook it so it just hangs on the paint
-No tie down points in the trunk
-The floor mat attaches at one point and therefore moves all the time
I dont have anywhere to put the gas cap either, but it never really annoyed me to put it on the paint since I dont swing it wildly or play tether ball with it. If you're concerned, you could probably get one of those plastic hooks that 3M makes for hangin stuff up on the wall and put it on the inside of the fuel door.
and I absolutely hate that there aren't any tie downs in the trunk and the floor mats that slide around everywhere.

The worst part about it the Legacy Wagon has them... do they think sedan drivers don't need to strap shit down?

Sijray21 Wrote:Integra (when i had it)

I'm pretty sure most car's gas tanks dont technically fill all the way up to let gasoline vapors expand during the summer months. There could be different designs for different cars though, so I'm not positive.

SHO is like this as well - Talon not as bad, Pontiac clicks off at FULL 100% of the time. You might be able to get 1/10th of an extra gallon in there before it flows out of the top.

- WRXtranceformed - 02-06-2009

Ah whoever said it earlier reminded me, having to push "OK" on the navi screen or else it shuts off is really annoying. The Acura crew has actually found a way to hack the system, removing this and unlocking a bunch of other stuff within the navi that isn't normally available (including uploading your own background pics, etc.) but I'm honestly too scared to try it for fear of causing a meltdown in the system.

- Apoc - 02-06-2009

That reminds me of another thing... you can't do any entry into the sat nav while the car is moving. Since they do the seatbelt chime and airbag for the passenger seat based on weight, they should also disable the safety for the nav too. So aggravating.

- WRXtranceformed - 02-06-2009

Ahh that sucks bro! My car will let you punch in stuff while you're driving which is a blessing. You can also punch a button on the steering wheel and "speak" the address and it finds it, but I haven't really messed around with that because it's kind of a pain... it doesn't usually dial in what you actually said very well.

that's why you get an external one :-P

when i didn't press 'ok' on my Garmin it eventually went to the default screen. (it was stolen, btw)

(why do i keep talking about all my stolen crap. ironically enough, i'm pretty happy with all the stuff that hasn't been stolen yet.)

$25 bucks, no more crap flying around back there. yay old subaru parts fit new subarus!

Ever look at a NA Miata with the headlights flipped up? There's your "air brakes" - they definitely don't help with MPG on the highway

- HAULN-SS - 02-06-2009

Forgot something ont he malibu

- no automated RPG system to blow cars off the road in front of me that are driving like complete fuckups

- toneloc - 02-08-2009

Accord

-Random 20 year old car rattles and squeaks
-Takes forever for the engine to warm up (because its carburated)
-Super-high idle (2500-3000) when the engine is cold (because its carburated)
-Starts up weird some times (because its carbureted)
-Bad city gas mileage (compared to highway mileage) (because its carburated)

I'm sensing a common theme here. Maybe it's just me?
