I've been searching around and mainly found that it is considered removal of a safety device, an action that insurance can drop you over. It also seems to depend on your state whether or not it is illegal.

If it's a pretty good package, then why do we not see any at the track?

Oh that's because the GS-R has more torque and power so people track those and Type-R's. Also the prices of EK Si's are overinflated. Maybe this would be a better question for the Club Si forums tho...

i've actually been asking around and some of the ligher EM1's are around 2300 pounds. Most of them are just track cars. The street cars are usually around 2500 maybe a little less and then the driver's weight. Usually with 1/4 tank of gas or so.

I would love to track my car, but since it's my daily driver and i have $0 expendible money it's going to have to wait till i get a job after college.

Do you think the insurance company will reduce the cost slightly if you tell them you have a 4 point harness or anything of that nature?

They'd probably drop your ass.

I'm not kidding.
