MJ: I had the blue WRX w/ the STi wheels. John W Smile

And I will edit the post.. although that event was different than this one. I think I got 13 runs, and that's because I lost an hour and a half trying to find my damn cell phone. My roommate got 17 in his IS300.

John, Yep you did give me a ride along. I remember that you felt VERY fast. I don't remember how your time stacked up but it always seems to fly by in the passenger seat. Thanks for the ride along. Maybe I can repay the favor at the next one.

Any time, and vice versa. Ridealongs help the driver too Smile

Had a little talk with the rents today, they are very supportive of the club and want me to go to VMP, so I'm there bitches!

w00t. You rolling from JMU or home?
Who else, other than me, is going that will be leaving from JMU, maybe we can get a caravan out there.

- Mike - 03-29-2004

I'll be leaving from JMU.

- mrbaggio - 03-30-2004

I will be leaving from JMU also.

Do we have real timing gear? Or is it going to be done with stop watches?

- Dave - 03-31-2004

okay, so maybe I'm just being a prick.
I went to sign up today, but saw the $30 pricetag and figured I'd clarify something first. What is the pricing for MM members? Also, is it really only 6 runs for $30? For instance, we musta gotten at least 15 runs at the last NASA-X (okay prolly not that many but seemed like it) and it was cheaper. I assume that the number of entrants will have a major impact on the number of runs, but I wanted to clarify first.
Either way, I'm still going, just want to find this info out first. Remember, I'm an autoX newB, so don't chew me out too much.

VMP = higher lot fees

We're running heats, all timed runs so no open test-n-tune.

This will be the first '04 NASA-X VA Series Event Tongue

- Mike - 03-31-2004

It was my understanding that MM workers would be getting a pretty nice discount?

- ButtDyno - 03-31-2004

If the event doesn't fill up, does that mean the divisions get collapsed and everyone gets more runs? Wink

john

- Mike - 03-31-2004

We will use all the time we have been allotted.

that's what I'm talkin bout. A discount would be nice, but I feel that 6 runs isn't much for $30 (I know its still cheaper than track time, and that it costs more to get VMP). I could care less if they are timed either, so long as I get more fun-time.

Consider yourself lucky.. people up in NoVa pay $30 for 4 runs at Fedex if they are not an SCCA member, $25 if they are. And that's with 300 people running...

They are certainly well run events, not saying they are not worth it, just a comparison Smile That is why the NASA ones are such great deals to me, I can get the seat time of 2 or more regular autox's in one day for less $.

and you're lucky john... brr-scca sucks ass. although its only $20 ($15 for scca members) for 4 runs, we get a shitty ass course where the FTD is 29.xxx. the courses arent really challenging, and short as hell, which makes for a crappy day.

Not gonna argue, I've got no love for the small courses. Just saying, $30 for 6 runs at a good lot is a damn good deal in the grand scheme of things.
