What happens if you put RB&V in the gas tank?

They don't have knock sensors... so... should be fine :dunno:

Don't know how much consumables and such would cost with that thing. But hey, who cares when you can lap Summit at this pace:

On the other hand, I've never driven or ridden something that fast so it might take a lot of adjustment to sling that around a racetrack halfway decently.

Then rent a fully-prepped car. I took out my LS1/M3 on track and really realized how vulnerable it is in a stock-safety car. It honestly made me very nervous. You use to race, I suspect you will be up to speed by half-way through the weekend and be pushing the car. Not having the time to prep/maintain a car also means you don't have the time to spend in a hospital.

Rent a full race car. I decided 2 events ago I won't be driving or even be in cars without full safety (not allowed to instruct either unless in full race car safety). I don't even have a kid like you, but my fiance, my dogs, and my livelihood depend on me having my full faculties. Not worth it for a "thrill" ride.
good points all around.
At least initially, if Im in a relatively slow car in an HPDE, I think Id be comfortable tracking a car with a rollbar seats and harnesses but I agree full safety is the only way to go, long term.

Thats crazy!
I remember Unkefer talking about driving his little rotary prototype and how hard it was for him for his brain to keep up with the car.

Ive been looking for formula car rentals, like a Formula Ford or Formula SCCA or a sports race but I havent found much. I figure they shouldnt be crazy expensive to rent and Ive always really wanted to drive a formula car anyway.
Ive found some SRFs for rent but they are sloooow and seem to be overpriced for what they are.

Re: Track car rentals - BLINGMW - 04-24-2015

a SRF should be faster around Summit than a SpecE30 or Spec Miata though... :dunno:
And that radical... just run the Skip Barber F2000 for a few laps in iRacing and you'll be able to handle that pace.

Maybe we cannot afford to race SRF Evan, but we should split one anyway for track days
