Dust to Glory. Its a movie about the Baja 1000. Check out the trailer its pretty badass. Gave me the most chills this side of Episode III. This could probably be on the same level as Faster from the looks of it.
Download the trailer here: http://www2.fanscape.com/d2g/media/dtg_trailer_700k.wmv
It is opening this Friday in DC. I won't be back till Saturday but I'd DEFINITELY want to have an outing and go see it that night. I believe its showing at the Georgetown Cinemas. Who's in?

FedEx man came today. Im 100% sure he hates me.
This is what $1500 and a Mazdaspeed sponsorship will buy you.
The packing invoice was 2 pages long. Highlights include, full SpecMiata suspension kit, all engine gaskets, blueprinted hubs, tie rod ends, tow hooks, all engine seals, SM air restrictor ( ) more seals, gaskets, hoses, belts, and other engine installation crap than I care to count, and a cat replacement pipe. and thats not including the stuff that wasnt in stock.

wouldnt want to forget whats sitting out in the garage.
a junkyard engine under the tarp, a rear caliper, and the mazdaspeed exhaust.

So I think I flooded the motor on the 280Z. I'm not sure completely what causes this but sometimes when shifting the motor will just shut off. I dont know if it is missing gears or what, It happened this time while downshifting to slow down. Maybe came off clutch too fast? Anyways I tried getting some people to push it while it was in gear and I was cranking the starter but it didnt work. The first time it did this i started it and clutched it slowly into gear and that got it rolling. Any ideas or advice? I read somewhere that a lot of stuff can happen like the spark plugs getting and stuff so should I pull the plugs or is there an easier way?

never tested an alternator, how you do it?
my battery light came on a half hour ago. i just replaced the battery and alternator at the same time a few weeks ago. i multi-metered the battery and i'm getting 12.65VDC, so the battery should be fine. i tested on the posts and in the cable to make sure it wasn't loosing it from the post to the cable. and the truck starts still, so it's putting out the amps.
i previously had an alt problem and could tell it was bad from volt gauge. at idle it would drop and at higher RPMs it came back up. this time it's dropped down to about 8V and staying there along with the battery light being on. i'm gonna try an reset the computer first and see if that does anything.

| How to get your car registered in H'burg |

If you go to JMU, live in Harrisonburg a majority of the year, and have a permanent address there, you can legally register your car as being garaged there. The plus side to this? You may not need to get an emissions inspection anymore and you might get out of paying personal property tax! Awesome and legal!
Call the DMV, tell them your car is garaged in Harrisonburg City and you're pretty set. You'll have to either mail the city clerk or visit city hall to purchase a city sticker for $20. This sticker will also get you out of paying personal property tax on your vehicle if you pay it already.
Simple, saves money and time! Do it!

me and some of my freinds are thinking about building a car.
we all have ideas on the car.. what would you all pick
our thought
dodge omni GLH
mazda 323 GTX
awd turbo DSM
older audi 4000 quattro (with turbo motor swap)
also even thinking of an aircooled VW
my vote is for a rabbit GTI with newer 2L motor turbocharged
i know its only FWD but rabbit GTI are great auto X'ers, extremely light, and with that motor setup it could run a quick 1/4 mile.
reasons being for wanting the rabbit gti because between my freind we have a car.. a motor.. a turbo kit.. suspension.. everything, and we know VW's really well.
what do you all think???
