  I SAW A NOBLE YESTERDAY!
Posted by: 83Rabbit - 06-23-2005, 10:41 AM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (11)

was in the west end in richmond, the part which is equivalent to the yuppy great falls area. Well I come to a stoplight and a silver Noble pulls up next to me. The same day I saw the track day pics with the silver noble in it. I was stunned. Never seen one in real life, let alone on the road!

  F/S- Air-powered floor lifts!!
Posted by: Jeff - 06-22-2005, 11:24 PM - Forum: For Sale/Trade, WTB - Replies (3)

Yes kids, you read right. I have for sale 6 80's vintage air floor lifts. They have pads like shop lifts and they are air powered. Heavily used but pro-grade. Get your lazy MM butt up in the air the easy way with one of these great jacks. They are made by Gray Inc. and sold new for over $2000 each. Lift range from 1-4 ft.

They are an older version of this...look almost exactly the same...

I have several types and styles. Some are lower then others, some are deeper, some have larger pads others have hook pads. $250 each. As-is.

HAULN-SS Wrote:One word...Rappongi. Tokyo redlight district. gotta hit it up..crazy shit.

all these threads about people going on vacation makes me jealous. i found out a few weeks ago that its more than likely that i will be going to singapore for a week directly to japan for a week for work. yes ladies and gents, i will be going for free and earning per diem as well. i am staying at the orchard hotel in singapore (supposedly 4 star) and at rapongi prince hotel in tokyo. i heard good stuff about the rapongi district. holla!

need a lil help with classing
Posted by: ScottyB - 06-22-2005, 02:09 PM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (22)

i searched some forums and came up empty handed, so if you guys could help me that would rock.

i'm trying to class my car for autocross but i'm not sure if i'm in DSP or SM. the problem lies with the chip in my ECU. according to SCCA rules, for DSP : "alternate computer control modules may be used whenever an equivalent change to the conventional system is allowed. for example, alternate computer module control of ignition settings or fuel injection is allowed. direct turbocharger boost control by alternate computer control is not, since there is no equivalent mechanical allowance"

the chip in my car changes timing, fueling, and boost maps. that would be cool according to the first two sentences in that passage, right? however, is the boost control considered an alternate computer control? and would a MBC not be considered an equivalent?

cliff notes: tell me i'm in DSP and not SM so i don't get my ass kicked. better yet, tell me it's ok to lie so i can take my stock looking car and put it in stock class and roll people.

  Vacation ^_^
Posted by: damnit458 - 06-22-2005, 09:10 AM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (5)

So its looking more and more like i'm going on vacation this summer.

My family usually goes on vacation once a year, but is not this year because of family problems (grandparents Sad ), so earlier in the year I decided to take it upon myself to work out details to go visit a few of my friends outside of the United States. But what did I do? Sat on my ass and let the opportunity pass by. Or so I thought.

My younger brother is going to Germany this year to visit a foreign exchange student that we housed for the past year, and while talking about it my parents suddenly started pushing me to stop being lazy and actually plan out a trip to see my friends by myself. After a lot of nagging I finally called my friends up to set up a visit, and as I type this Im also buying tickets for the flight.

July 27th - August 8th I will be in Japan Big Grin .

I will be staying with two friends from JMU whose parents are stationed there. They will be taking off work so it will pretty much be the three of us hanging out in Japan for a week. They plan on takin me arround to certain touristy areas, and im excited as hell to be going. The one downfall (if you can call it that) is that I have to take off work for a week and a half, but Japan > money, esp when its free of charge to you (except for misc fees).

I cant wait =D

looks like the actors aren't too amazing but it should be entertaining. Jesse James even has a part in there

Can any honda guys make sense of this?
Posted by: JackoliciousLegs - 06-21-2005, 05:26 PM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (11)

This is an excerpt from an email. It's from a family friend.

It's a Honda Civic '92, 101K miles and looks new.

It stalls without warning 40, 50, 60mph, though the radio, lights and windows work. Three ignitors have been installed in the car in 5 months. The last 2 by the Honda dealer where it is now. In Dec I had the timing belt replaced, distributor O rings, electric fuel pump and ignitor.

They are talking w/Honda corporate who thinks it's electrical. One mechanic said it could be the computer, or electric fuel pump but that was replaced in Dec. ?

I don't want the car back. I think it's a deathtrap. However I can't afford another. For all I know I don't have a car any longer, bec this one may be too expensive to repair. It's really crummy.

Let me know if you have any ideas about it.
