Unfortunately, they didn't come with a motor.

2005 Giant TCR2 Road Bike
[Image: f04-TCR-2_CF_flat.jpg]

I've been dicking around considering a road bike for quite some time, but damn I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger. In a trial ride late last night I pulled 8 miles in 27 minutes, an average of over 17mph. CRAZY FAST!

I'm gonna rock a 20 miler tomorrow, anyone in? RJ?

Toyota to leave IRL, so will Honda...
Posted by: G.Irish - 06-30-2005, 10:57 AM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (11)

Toyota announced earlier this week that they'll be leaving IRL after 2006. No small surprise since Toyota ultimately has its sights on NASCAR. That and the fact that Toyota probably doesn't feel its getting its money's worth in marketing appeal from the IRL which has not been able to improve much on its dismal ratings (save for Danicamania).

Sooo, just like that Honda is going to leave too since they are not in racing to compete with themself. But instead of going to NASCAR which would not really be the technical challenge they'd be looking for, Honda is going to American Le Mans Big Grin I was hoping Honda would have gone there after they left CART but winning the Indy 500 was a worthy reason to go to IRL for awhile. Now that they've won it twice and Toyota and Chevy are bowing out now its time to go after the new Porsche and Mazda programs...

The big loser? Tony George. That asshole is getting just what he deserved, a bucket of Kentucky Fried Crow. When Toyota and Honda first got into IRL him and his cronies were proclaiming victory and talked about how IRL is sooo much better[than CART] because of its lower cost, closer racing, yadda yadda yada. I think IRL was indeed making progress especially with their addition of road courses but this development pretty much leaves 'em dead in the water.

Maybe this could be the blow that finally brings IRL and CART back together.

  woo hoo.

okay, i came up with a little ditty other day. it sparked some interest in trying to complete a song for once. this is just my structuring phase. i'm trying to get things recorded where i want and how i want. plus coming up with the drum programming and all the where and when on the drum fills. at 1:30 into the song, it goes off into never land. i just played a few licks after that point to keep momentum so it wouldn't sound like a sudden stop. you know, "follow through" Smile. once i've got all the part s played out i will go back and do a cleaner recording and try to get levels on everything right.

i just thought i'd share because this has a nice catchy flavor to me.

so here it is, nowhere completed of course.

*edit*
it will be longer than that.

TOP Gear on Discovery Channel tonight @ 10

Can an Apache helicopter get missile lock on a sports car? Jeremy Clarkson finds out as the Lotus Exige takes to the Top Gear track; Richard Hammond goes off road with the Bowler Wildcat; James May is on a Sicilian race track with a Maserati Quattroporte.

would be nice if they start regularly broadcasting it so I don't have to watch clips on the 'net

Local potential project car FS. Cheap with potential.

I saw this on craigslist. Cheap, awd, straight body, low(ish) miles........

no, its not mine, and I know nothing about it.
But damn its begging for an EJ20.....
If I didnt have a busted miata needing a new engine in the driveway I would start it as a project myself

Pop in a cheap WRX drivetrain and you have
230hp(with much more for very cheap), AWD, on a sub 2400 lb car.

throw on the 11.5" WRX brakes, and some decent shocks/springs/swaybars and you have a disgustingly quick, reliable track car for under $5k

Alright, who is going to the Commonwealth Games autox in Verona on July 17th?
I should be there to test out my new coilovers and tires. Hope to see some MMers there.
