First woman to qualify for an AMA Supermoto pro race. She raced at Reno last weekend but apparently she got hurt in a crash in practice so wasn't able to ride too hard in da main event. Still, she won in Australian Women's Supermoto so she's gotta be pretty quick. I guess more reason for me to get off my ass and go to a supermoto race...as a groupie

Samuela de Nardi

Samuela races European Women's Supermoto and I think she does some road racing too. She entered the 8 hours of Suzuka this year on a Aprilia RSV Mille R and her team was the top finishing v-twin and European bike. To be fair that's not saying much because no Ducatis showed up.

For those of you that don't know, I'm the VP of the Car Club of Virginia Tech. We are having our car show for the Fall semester on Saturday October 22nd. You guys are welcome to come join us. If you want to enter into the actual judged part of the car show, it will probably cost 2 dollars. There will be trophies for certain categories that have yet to be finalized. Your also more then welcome to come but not enter. There will be plenty of parking for everyone that wants to show off there car but not enter into the judged portion. The show will go from 10-4.

The planning for this event is unfortunatly all happening kind of last minute, but we are trying to work on a few things for the show, like possibly having some hooters girls come. Let me know if you have any questions.

Had a company outing at the kart place in sterling (I can't remember the name). WTF DORIFTOHH!!!!

Lol seriously though, those little RWD things are weird. Surprisingly, I didn't have as much fun as I thought I would.

I don't know what it was about the experience. Maybe it was because the karts were slow, the ass end slid out way too easily, or because the faggots would never give me a blue flag! I'd be right on someone's ass for a whole lap and I'd never get it =/

It kind of promoted my latest progression toward drag racing. I still want to autocross my car to see how fun that is, maybe take it to a big road track, but there's something about going fast, then slowing down and turning that isn't very fun to me.

I was thinking about it on the drive home, and here's the only way I can describe it. When I was in that kart, I was in a zone. I was really focused and in a heightened state of awareness, but there was no adrenaline at all. There wasn't the excitement so much as the focus. When I'm accelerating in a fast car, and the front end bucks up and you feel the car twist with torque with your head slamming the back of the seat, I feel the same feeling as above but with a HUGE surge of adrenaline and excitement.

Flame away, but that's the case! And no, I wasn't that slow. I put up the best lap for my team at 25.412, 3rd overall out of 30 people.

Well, not really. For the next meeting, I was going to do a powerpoint presentation on car detailing. I would like to do a demonstration on polishing, but I don't have a panel to use. So, does anyone have a small body panel for me to use to detail? Suggestions include: doors, targa tops, wings? I will polish, apply a sealant, and then wax the panel. If anyone wants the whole car detailed, we can arrange that later (for a nominal fee). The detailing of the painted portion of the panel will be free!

Alright since im not flagging that weekend, I have to get some sort of automotive kick in so im going to richmond to autocross on sunday. Whoever mentioned it last night please give more details. I will be most likely heading down and staying at a friend's saturday night for vcu but im sure he can maybe accomodate more people...I will see depending on who is interested. Let me know!
