  Quake 4 Anyone?

I just got this the other day..it's pretty awesome if you're into fast paced FPS. It looks like it's on track to be just like every other quake game i.e. modded like crazy. THeres a few complete mods out already. Anyone else got this game?

About to tow the wreck back into my garage. I need to borrow an engine hoist. Anyone?

I guess I could just chop the mounts and let it drop

Have any of you guys heard of them? They seem to have a few (body) parts that I am in the need of, pretty cheap too, like 1/2 of OEM cost. I know they are probably cut off busted up cars, but I don't care. Just wondering if any of you have gotten stuff from them. They have a 1/4 panel I might get, I just hope they took care when drilling out the welds.

  Pour one out for Egon...
Posted by: Mike - 11-04-2005, 06:44 PM - Forum: Motorcycles - Replies (4)

Be aware of your surrounding guys... I'm sure Egon wasn't doing anything daredevil, but I don't know the exact details. Based on his experience I can only assume it wasn't his fault.

Quote:Egon Dale Petersen, 60, of Herndon VA, died in a motorcycle accident on Oct. 30, 2005 near Franklin, West Virginia.

Born in Honolulu where he earned his Masters in Business Administration at the University of Hawaii, he came to the Washington area in 1986 and worked as an account manager for Electronic Data Systems.

Egon was a dedicated volunteer with such groups as "In Memory" to help families of Vietnam veterans, "Avon Breast Cancer Walk" where he was known as "The Boot Man," the "Aids Ride" as a motorcycle escort, the "House of Ruth" where he helped build the playground, and recently joined the "Us Too Prostate Cancer Support Group" with the goal of preventing prostate cancer so men wouldn't suffer the disease or need the support group. He was a long-time, passionate member of PSI and Landmark Education, seeking to improve himself and encouraged others to do the same.

Egon served in the US Army from 1968 to 1971 with USAAG III Corps and MR 3, spending a year in Tay Ninh Province in Vietnam, earning a Combat Infantryman's Badge and Bronze Star Medal.

Regarded by many friends as a very experienced, safe and precise rider, Egon had ridden motorcycles for 42 years and especially loved the fall trips to the West Virginia mountains.

In sharing his passion, kindness, generosity, and life, he strived to lift the spirits of everyone he met, constantly reaching out to people he didn't know and making numerous friendships.

He was married to Mie Matsui in the 1970s and recently Bernadette O'Connor, but had no children. He will be sadly missed by his sister, Lisa Petersen, brother-in-law Rick Hagen, niece Amy Hagen, best friends Jay Cummings and Eubert Querubin, countless friends and coworkers.

Services in honor of his life will be held at the River Road Unitarian Church, 6301 River Road, Bethesda, MD on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11, at 1 p.m. Directions to the services are below. Motorcycle friends, please come on your bikes.

For those inclined, a list of Egon's favorite charities will be provided at the services, or may be requested later by email.

Services will also be held in Hawaii between Nov. 18 and Nov. 23;
exact arrangements to be announced later (please email me if I should put you on the list for that announcement).

Reminisces about Egon from his friends will be most appreciated,
especially to share with his niece, Amy, who is now 6 years old.
Please send, by email or snailmail, your thoughts, explaining how you met Egon and how he touched your life, to his sister Lisa, at the
address(es) below.

I was wondering if it was on this site, or if anybody had a link to it. The most recent car show flier would be best, but anyone will do.
