Sean and I are leaving from the Exxon on Port at 6am. Anyone is welcome to caravan wtih us.

I've been to the track a number of times helping the MAM team, but I had never gotten out on track.

Today, I went up to summit and got a ride-along in an 2004 R32. 12 or 14 laps...awesome experiance. I'm looking forward to the next time I'm on track.

Then, I got a chance to drive the R32 for a few laps with an instructor. Amazing. I'm completely hooked.

Can you make a vehicle so light that it no longer has enough weight to create a sufficient enough tire patch? I'd have to think so, but then it raises the question of when does weight become disadvantageous?

There has got to be some formula based on friction, vehicle mass, power, weight distribution, drivetrain layout, etc, to give you an ideal weight per vehicle, but has anyone ever made one?

I know, pretty useless for us because in any real vehicle lighter is always better,, but think space-age materials and vehicles that have the possibility to weigh next to nothing.

I dunno, just something I've been pondering for a while

Alright so I got my beautiful new afpr and install lines in and everything. So today I go to put it on and the line with the AN fittings.. SSOOOOOOOOO I do this for about half an hour before just flat out giving up. I am so fucking frustrated with this shitty ass line. I swear it just hates me. Can anyone help me attack this line inside of a fitting, I have cuts on my hand cause of it and just one of those things im getting frustrated..

He said he was gonig to bang out the 1/4 some more then plastic it but he needed to fix the support piece since Ford doesn't sell it seperate. Apparently it was pretty busted up. The front is ligned up perfect, actually better than it was stock. He thinks another week or two and I'll have it back unpainted.

I saw a newer gunmetal 575M Maranello this morning heading west as I was heading west on Route 50 towards Chantilly. Came in sight in my rearview and quickly changed lanes. It was a guy with a stache. He also went into the far right lane on 50 when it changes to two lanes. He was definitely driving semiwrecklessly, his license plate was "4 AMIGO"

This afternoon coming home I see a red FORD GT heading westbound on 50 as I was heading eastbound. Such a sweet silhouette it makes.

Another sighting was an abandoned Black 99-00 Civic Coupe with a wing, lowered on Volks and primer black frontend with OEM fogs and Stock headlights I feel like someone stole it and left it there. A "clubcivic" sticker could be seen on the rear left quarter window. This was seen after getting on the parkway from 50 east before Fair Lakes Shopping Center in the right shoulder caddy parked diagonally, not parallel to the lane lines....odd.

I just wanted to share this with all of you. I got it off of a Lotus Elise forum that I am a member of.

1) My cars will always be clean and well presentable. I will ensure that my cars are in the highest state of mechanical condition and maintenance. Exotics are indeed rare, and to see one is a special experience. I have an obligation to present these cars to others at a high standard.

2) I will always be polite, courteous, and friendly. I will not talk down to or ignore anyone, and I will cheerfully answer all questions. Exotic owners wrongly suffer from a "snob" label. By actively and always countering this, I will strive to change this perception among all whom I meet.

3) Where feasible, I will encourage inspection and observation of my cars. If someone is clean and courteous, I will encourage them to sit in my cars. I will actively encourage photographs. In particular, I will encourage this among younger children. On occasion, I will offer rides to admirers under the appropriate circumstances.

4) With one exception (see 5, below), I will obey all traffic laws or local traffic customs. Especially, I will pass other cars only in marked, safe passing zones, and I will always respect traffic speeds and noise ordinances within city limits. I will always drive in a defensive manner to protect myself and my vehicle. I will not initiate nor will I respond to challenges to race my cars on open public roads.

5) Operating my cars as God, Enzo, and Ferruccio (or Colin) intended will occur only on open, rural routes free of heavy traffic or on appropriately designated (closed) courses. On public highways, I will use my highest powers of observation and diligence to ensure that I place myself, my vehicles, and the public in no additional danger. I will be aware of the environment and road conditions, and I will not drive at excessive speeds on unknown or suspect roads. When approaching blind corners or hills, I will assume that an obstacle exists and will take appropriate defensive measures.

6) I will share my passion and excitement for exotic cars with others through community service and charitable events. I will actively seek out community organizations such as local police departments and schools and offer my cars for use in events such as DARE programs, homecoming parades, pep rallies, etc. Many communities have "Make a Wish" foundations for sick children. If given the opportunity, I will offer a day with myself and my cars to such organizations in an effort to brighten an otherwise trying life for someone less fortunate than I.

7) I will be honest and open with other enthusiasts, and I will accurately represent my cars to prospective owners and buyers. I will keep complete records, and I will always follow up with purchasers of my cars to ensure that they continue to gain maximum satisfaction and appreciation for cars that I have owned and serviced.

8) I will always have a smile on my face when inspecting, driving, or showing my cars to others. I will never forget how fortunate I've been to own such automobiles and I will constantly remind myself that the future is uncertain, and that today may be as good as it gets.
